Would have been the easiest catch as well.Haha, radio reporting that Vaas has no slips in?? and Hayden edges one to where a 1st slip would have been.....
Australia should batting first here and they should be able to cruise to 350 fairly comfortably. This great, beautiful Australian team and Matty Hayden is so strong. Don't know if he will go down as an all time great but I'd certainly like to go down on him...
We didn't really want to know thatAustralia should batting first here and they should be able to cruise to 350 fairly comfortably. This great, beautiful Australian team and Matty Hayden is so strong. Don't know if he will go down as an all time great but I'd certainly like to go down on him...
I guess Mahela wasn't too sure whether Vass could induce an edge of Haydos, considering Vass's current form, but still dire not to have any slips to the new ball.Pathetic captaincy by Jayawardene, have no slips and an edge goes through there and next ball put one in there. One should of been there in the first place.
Obviously as good as he is a batsman, tatical nous is not his strong point.
Haha i too love andy's avatar, i guess he could be a Pamela anderson or Jenna jameson fan too.Haha! I think andyc is a DoA fan.
Yeah but saying "There should be a first slip" isn't exactly a revelation.Wel, Tubby's still got the tactical thing down pat - the ball before Hayden edged it, he circled the leg gully and said "He should be here", and circled 1st slip.
shame about those terrible Fujitsu ads though
Vaas was unlucky last game IMO, had some close calls.SL need to make some tough selection choices tomorrow. Tharanga's fate should be straightforward. I'd give Maharoof a run - if history has taught us anything it is that Sri Lankan bowlers never all fire on the same day, one will invariably lose the plot. I'd give Vaas tomorrow to prove that he is still a strike bowler, if he can't be effective he has to be let go.
I'm heading up to Syd tomorrow, the forecast says to expect a couple of short showers...wish me luck, I have a feeling I'll need it
Yeah he's looked quite ginger for some time hasn't he? I know he'd have been too macho to admit it and use it as an excuse but it's clearly affecting his play. Sit out the rest of the series I reckon.ffs Ponting, go and get your back right first, then come back when it's 100%
I agree makes no sense for him to play when he is not 100%, all he could do is aggravate his injury.ffs Ponting, go and get your back right first, then come back when it's 100%
Since Gilly is the VC for this series, so if Ponting doesn't play then i think Gilly would lead the team.Yup, sure he leaves a huge hole in the batting Order, but:
A) Test Cricket >>> ODI Cricket, and Australia still has a number of tests to play this year
B) It gives Michael Clarke a chance to take over the reigns whilst he has an experienced VC in Gilly there (if they didn't give the captaincy to Gilly that is)
C) Australia can still win the Tournament without Ponting.
