You'll Never Walk Alone
I certainly don't and really should be leading the team in consistent performances. Understood boss. Will mos def put in the hard yards at training this week and hopefully repay the selectors faith.

Indeed he does, 19 @ 21. Better average than Borcich itbt
yeah but tbh, haven't been taking wickets at the important times, need to make more of an impact when it counts.

Hopefully my batting will help keep me in the side though

Cricket Web Green v Masters XI
CWBCC Stadium

Scorecard
Ball by Ball

Cricket Web Green overwhelmed the Masters XI by a comfortable margin of 8 wickets, reversing their fortunes after they lost the toss and were asked to field first. Xavier Rose counted Brian Lara (22) among his 3 wickets, and the Masters collapsed from 41-1 to 168 all out within 40 overs. In the middle overs Paddy Gundry (2-28) led the spin attack in slowing the scoring rate and building pressure. Lance Klusener topscored with 47, taking 57 balls to do so, and Rose ended the most successful bowler with figures of 3-47.

The Masters boosted their spirits with the wicket of Nick Scott (4) early on and Ben Read was dropped by Tyron Henderson on 13. For the rest of the game the Greens grafted their way into a dominant position. Rob Malone jr. was bowled by Klusener for 65, leaving Read to guide the chase with Martyn Corrin and no further loss.

Cricket Web Black v Cricket Web Colts
Pickford Reserve

Scorecard
Ball by Ball

Cricket Web Black took revenge over Cricket Web Colts in historic fashion, racking up 382-6 and winning by 95 runs. From the start it was evident that it would not the day of the Colts. Griffen dropped Stedman when he had just 2 runs, with little idea of how costly his miss would be. In the 10th over Stedman brought up his half-century from 43 balls, and CW Black reached a century within 14 overs. Ash Chaulk got to 50 off a quicker 39 balls, and the Blacks continued to elevate their momentum and level of domination.

To start the 23rd over Stedman slammed Pares for six over third man, and raised his bat in celebration of an 81-ball hundred. He lofted the another six over long-on later in the over, and ensured that Pares would end the innings with awful figures of 5-0-55-0. Just 2 balls into the 25th over CW Black reached 200-0, but Butler finally initiated a breakthrough in the next over. The medium pacer bowled Stedman for 121 and an opening stand of 207 was broken. Ironically Butler proved to be the best bowler of the match, taking 3 wickets en route to a Man of the Match award despite his team's loss.

Chaulk raced through to his second consecutive one-day hundred, eventually checking out with 134 from 115 balls. After 40 overs the score was 307-4 and the Blacks continued strongly through to the close, losing 2 more wickets but maintaining a runrate of 7.5 over the final 10 overs. Zac Gelman epitomized the intent of CW Black by launching a ball from last match hero Kyle Wright over midwicket and out of the ground. CW Black only scored 6 runs off the 50th over and were made to settle for 382-6.

The Colts attacked the large total as best as they could early on. Their aggression accounted for three early wickets, but Chris Butler looked in good nick from his arrival at the crease. The required run rate steadily grew and pushed the Colts further and further out of the match. Ash Arnold was given the ball and ended the last genuine threat of the innings, bowling Jennifer Law for an exciting 53. Butler scored 85 and then he could not keep out a Kexing Su yorker. When Mike Wilson faced up to the same bowler later in the over, he made solid enough contact to carry a short ball for six and raise his fifty. Ultimately he was the third Colts batsman to be bowled, falling for 55 with 137 runs needed off 38 balls.

Weber was bowled by Pickup at 250-8 and the CW Colts tail managed to rally with 37 more runs before they were all out in the final over.

Cricket Web Black innings 382-6 (50 overs)
AP Chaulk 134 (115), JE Stedman 121 (97), ZE Gelman 25* (16)
CR Butler 3-52 (10)

CR Butler 85 (102), MW Wilson 55 (52), JA Law 53 (57)
KJ Gough 3-55 (9.5), Kexing Su 3-59 (10)

Cricket Web Blue v Cricket Web Red
PDV Dome

Scorecard
Ball by Ball

The Cricket Web Blue seamers shared 7 wickets and dismantled the Cricket Web Red batting to get back on track in the one-day competition. CW Red needed 249 but failed to get on top of the bowling and could manage only 164, losing by 84 runs.

Dinu DeSilva continued to be the best OD batsman for CW Blue this season, adding 95 runs to his tally before he was stunningly caught off Kingsley Clapham. Sean Fuller compiled a workmanlike 55 in the middle order and Luke Tyson was given his first proper opportunity to build an innings outside of a crisis. He responded well with 38 from 36 balls, batting until the end and hitting a boundary and a six off Gaurav Nayak in the 49th over. The Blues scored 248-5 on the quick PDV Dome pitch, then sought to defend it with a stacked pace attack.

The early success went to Sriram - Luff bowled for 4 - and the CW Red top order unraveled before showing any signs of getting set. There was the all too familiar sight of Rob Dauth battling without much help, and he was the top scorer with 44. The first 4 wickets fell for 33 runs and after a partnership of 64 between Dauth and Reddlapalli (32), CW Red suffered another collapse - 4 for 22. The second time it was the work of Bredan Taylor that garnered praise. The left-arm spinner took a career-best of 3-28. Sean Bennett applied himself well enough to gather 31 runs unbeaten and he helped cut inside a deficit of 100 and push the score to 164 all out.

Cricket Web Blue innings 248-5 (50 overs)
MW DeSilva 95 (121), SE Fuller 55 (90), L Tyson 38* (36)

Why did Fitzy open instead of Jaso?

Otherwise: Hands up who saw that coming! Well played by Butler, though.

My mistake. Realized it halfway through the innings. Would have re-simmed if it were the first innings, and if I didn't already re-sim after I accidentally started Kyle with the new ball. That was only after 3 overs had been simmed, however, and the score was 35-0 to CW Black.

Haha, funny thing is 287 would have been one of our best batting totals of the season in OD on any other day.

Fair Play to Black though, did us in big style, Chaulk and Stedman are monsters.

Good batting from Buts, Law and Wilson though.

Great to get a solid win against the masters, all the batsmen except for myself and Corrin contributed and Halsey and Corrin bowled brilliantly :)
