I dont know how to define that. Wishart opened in both the test innings he played in test cricket (in this his only test) and Jones 3 times in the four test matches he played.Seeing that the question calls for 2 recognized LH openers, these cant be the ones. They're not " recognized " by any stretch.

I was thinking of the last two tbh, but I think you are correct with your first answerI dont know how to define that. Wishart opened in both the test innings he played in test cricket (in this his only test) and Jones 3 times in the four test matches he played.
19 years later Watson and Spooner were the next laft handed pair to open in a test, this time for England against West Indies at the Queen's Park Oval. Watson opened 11 times in 23 test matches and Spooner 7 times in seven (14 innings)
In August next year (1955) John Ikin and Brian Close opened in two tests against South Africa at home. Both of them opened 8 times each in test matches.
In the second half of the fifties, Peter Richardson, a specialist opener (55 times in 56 test innings) opened 10 times with Close, Don Smith and Watson.
Graeme Pullar and Subba Row joined in 1959 to open regularly for England, They were both specialist openers.
