BARNES OUT
Nagamootoo, yessssssss.
Look, I know I'm a **** for bringing this up, but this is possibly the "best" call since Andy's one re: South Africa ODI.There is no way a CW side could beat this team. Honestly. As strong as, say, CW Black are, even they are no match for the likes of Lara and co.
It's the masters fault for not picking Marto.Look, I know I'm a **** for bringing this up, but this is possibly the "best" call since Andy's one re: South Africa ODI.
The Master's XI isn't that far ahead of some of the CW sides, though. Their first class and List A averages are as follows. They've obviously been dumbed down in their abilities in fear of backlash from the CW community.
Statistically they're far and away better batsmen. All of the specialist batsmen average over 35 in FC cricket, and most of them well over 40. How many Dev League batsmen average over 40? I don't, and if I do it's only just barely. There's only 2 batsmen in the Black lineup that do, Arnold and Cloete. If it was done properly, statistics-wise, they sure as hell wouldn't be getting bundled out cheaply very often. They're good, but statistically, they're not a world away from us. Unlike real cricket, the dev league is based on statistics. I don't know what Liam and Hakon entered for The Masters, so I can't really say if they've been 'dumbed down' so we're more competitive or not.
Yeah, thats true. I think it could be a reflection though, on the strong bowling of the dev league. But again, I cannot be sure. Would like official word from Liam or Hak on this.Statistically they're far and away better batsmen. All of the specialist batsmen average over 35 in FC cricket, and most of them well over 40. The statistics have not been dumbed down. But if every batsman with a simming average over 50 scored 50+ per innings, Dev League cricket would be no fun. As it is, even excellent simming averages can come up fruitless in a given game. And as has been shown countless times before, very good teams can have very bad starts to the season.Statistically they're far and away better batsmen. No. The difference between Masters XI simming averages and everyone else's is Dev League experience points.I actually wasn't talking about simming averages, I was talking about career averages. I realise simming averages are (for the most part) significantly better than the career average (how could I not know this, for one). For say, Lara, his career average is 50+, wouldn't that mean his simming average is significantly higher than his career average? Same goes for all of them,
