Yeah, I've noticed Rey doesn't do the 619 like he used to. However, I wasn't sure if that might be something to do with his knee injury, he was doing the West Coast Pop as recently as WM22 and his injury was only 6 months or so after that. Hasn't done it since he got back, either.

Sandman's other finisher was the White Russian Leg Sweep, wasn't it? Good old alcoholism, LOL.
haha sure was, what a stupidly amusing guy he is, remember a match he had with mick foley when foley hit him with a frying pan and knocked him out in the first few minutes, but yet somehow he continued with the match, and even more stupidly he didnt adhere to the match script, and when foley was meant to take the win sandman kept getting back up, and foley kept hitting him with the frying pan, just went on for ages, at the end sandman pretty much collapsed with a concussion and went out on a stretcher, what a guy.

Haha, sounds awesome. Gotta admit, my original distaste for the old ECW is waning rapidly. I'd still take technical wrestling over hardcore any day, and I still maintain some of the stuff you saw in ECW was just sick and should never be done to anyone, plus that there were some serious no-talent hacks knocking about - however, the history of ECW represents a huge, gaping hole in my knowledge of the history of wrestling in general, and that's something that should be put right. Even my knowledge of the history of WCW isn't that bad, and I never even watched it while it was actually in existence.

Any particular matches/PPVs etc you suggest I look for? I've already got Barely Legal on DVD, it came free with One Night Stand 2006.

Any of the RVD v Lynn or RVD v Sabu matches. Crazy stuff, makes you really wonder what RVD would've been if it hadn't been for that broken leg.

Anarchy Rulz 99 is regarded by many as the best ECW PPV ever, and it is pretty awesome, looked low budget at the time mind you, so hell knows how bad it looks nowadays lol.

What a load of crap. For once, WWE could've given a new guy a chance to carry the company. Instead the final three in the Royal Rumble are Cena, Batista and Hunter three guys who I am absolutely sick of hogging the mainevent spotlight.

I'm officially done with WWE now repeating their main events time and time again. Superman Cena's reign of terror begins again and I'm not going to bear it. I'm sticking with TNA Impact and their PPV's no matter how bad their booking is.

At least with TNA I can get to see some other stars like Christian, AJ Styles and Samoa Joe main event and put on some brilliant matches.

It's not the glitz and the glamour, it's not the set or the production. It's the performance that counts, which is why ROH has such a great following.

Man, that was a surprise but also kind of a letdown. Didn't get to watch it but will do later in the week. The one good thing to come out of it I suppose was Mr. Kennedy (apparently) being the fourth-to-last man eliminated. Although there were some weird things going on too - apparently Chavo was in there, way to eliminate ANY credibility the ECW Title had left. Apparently it's not even a World title any more. And how the Hell did Finlay get DISQUALIFIED? So many people have done so many DQ-worthy things in past Rumbles and nothing's happened. Half the POINT of a Rumble is that it's No-DQ. Gah. WWE gets on my nerves so much sometimes.

Cena-Orton at 'Mania will be a decent match, like their SummerSlam effort, and another good thing to come out of that is that if it leads into Cena-Kennedy rather than HHH-Kennedy, Kennedy's less likely to get buried completely.

Actually it was Kane who was the 4th to last man eliminated :p and how exactly did Finlay get DQ'd all i saw was him taking done Henry and Big Daddy V (i think) with a shillelagh

EDIT: Found this on wiki # Finlay never officially entered the Rumble match as he came out before he was supposed to and left with Hornswoggle. WWE considered this being disqualified from the match. hmmmm

actually genuinely pleased about the rumble tbh, not read the reports of the other matches, but a genuine surprise seeing cena return, for all the bad said about him i'd still prefer to see him in the mainevent rather than HHH or Batista, so i'm not too bothered, fair play to cena to come back from such an injury so quickly, he must have worked incredibly hard for this, kudos to him I say.

Yeah, I'm not excessively happy about Cena coming back and winning 'cause I think the company could have benefitted from a bit longer without him in the limelight, but the guy must have worked his arse off to get back in three months from an injury they said could take a year to heal.

Yeah, can't say I'm too displeased with that, no Batista in the spotlight is fine by me. Only thing I'm pissed about is Cena not turning heel yet :@

well unless Orton drops the title at No Way Out Cena will remain a face for the immediate future, and another title reign looks assured. However with him back there will be a lot of faces on RAW, too many really, and only one (maybe two) genuine upper card heels, I expect a Heel turn for HHH or Y2J is pretty much guaranteed now, Wouldnt be at all surprised if at WM they have HHH or Y2J screw Cena in his match with Orton to bring on a major Heel turn, would be good if they did anyway.

- Yeah looking forward to a Cena-Kennedy feud after the Kennedy-Michaels feud which eventually leads to Kennedy winning the title. Think that he might be able to do it before the end of the year. Like how things are shaping up personally. The Kennedy-Michaels feud is building Kennedy up every day and it is only going to get him more over by the time he gets his title push.

- Think that Triple H has been out of the Mania spotlight as I think that he will face Ric Flair in Flair's final match at Mania for the end of Flair's career. Both share mutual respect and I don't see Flair going out to any one else or in a lesser event than Mania.

So the mania card so far for the bigger events looks like:

Cena v Orton - Cena wins

Triple H v Flair - Triple H wins

Michaels v Kennedy

Don't care too much about Smackdown or ECW at the moment but why was Shelton Benjamin so easily exited out of the Rumble? Seemed like WWE was pushing him a few weeks back.

Undertaker will probably feud with Snitsky after the Royal Rumble post bashing Taker gave Snitsky at No Way Out. Bleh.

24th Jan's TNA Impact was awesome btw. Didn't get bored much with the show at all. Is always great to see some new wrestlers and TNA Impact provides the perfect platform for me for this. They have a contract with NJPW via which Tiger Mask and Sausage Man (Christopher Daniels' Japan gimmick) performed and it was gun to watch Tiger Mask.
