Yes for a team who accused the Aussies of not playing in the right spirit they dont mind appealing for absolute rubbish. Some one needs to mention to Kartik hes the 12th man & is lucky to even be on the ground. He should learn to be a little more humble.
Also shows how disrespectful the Indians are of the umpires, very unsporting of them to carry on in such a way.
I think Kartik should be reported for misconduct with his carryon & spitting at Clarke etc.
Bloody Indians win one game & they think they are someone all of a sudden eh...

Those of you carrying on like the pitch is doctored really have no idea what your talking about either & are once again showing very bad sportmanship, how unusual.

As far as I know, a lot of bigger injuries occur because of players 'keep at it' and they could have been prevented from going off earlier. All academic now anyways with Ponting gone, probably for the best.

I don't think anybody is saying the pitch is doctored. It's just a dull pitch not conducive to good bowling or a proper result. The senior Indian players like Kumble, Laxman, Tendulkar and Dravid are generally pretty mild mannered. The young players seem to have a lot of fire in them. The fire's good if they can channel it properly like the Australian's always do. Otherwise they end up looking pretty bad on the world stage.

I'd also appreciate if you didn't use the term 'Bloody Indians' in the future.

I don't think he was exerting himself too much so it's OK. This is an injury Ponting has always had. Always a little niggle he has carried. I expect him to not field in India's innings and probably miss the Twenty20 and maybe the first couple of games of the CB series. I'm just glad this happened in the last Test rather than the first three...

Fantastic to watch my first weekend of cricket for the Summer.

The commentators are still as ordinary as ever though.

Why don't get stuck into Ponting/Clarke for their sub-50 strike rates?

If that was Dravid or Kallis, they'd be all over them like a seagull on a hot chip.

Apart from Michael Slater and Ian Chappell (I know Chappelli isn't liked too much here, but he's one of my favourites), the Channel 9 commentary team is horrendous. I wish we were getting the ESPN Star Sports coverage instead or digital tv should have a alternate soundtrack provision, ie watching Channel 9's coverage but listening to ABC Grandstand Commentary.
