Agree, with you, it definitely has to be India who are gonna have to try and force a result out of this match.
I think India won't be too unhappy with a draw here either, because after the series they can always say that if the umpiring won't have been so poor at Sydney, then they would have won the series.
Btw mate seriously, get rid of this avatar of yours, it almost made me loose my lunch.

haha, my avatar, it's weird, but cute  so I kind of want to stick with it.

But I agree with you, maybe India won't be too keen for a result, but I think they should try their best to see if they can win.

wonderful batting by Straya .. loving the grind

prefer 3/310 to something like 6/370..... especially with the skipper still there..touchwood

you wouldnt of picked Ponting to do too well with Ishant and Harbhajan bowling half of the overs

Ponting's been really good. Batting isn't that easy and Australia have generally played well today. Deserves a century tomorrow.

Australia were 5/312 at stumps at the end of day 3 of the 2nd Ashes test v England
(take note India made less than England in the first innings)

this greatly excites me... Lee Clark and Midge can reverse swing it .... but difference will be Warne i guess and Englands chokingness

3/322 at Stumps :) Wonderful day for us. Brilliant innings by Hayden, good contribution from Jaques and an awesome, gritty fighting knock from Ponting.

Indian fielding and bowling has been really defensive today, that's why the run-rate's been low. I reckon if they had been agressive, Aus may have scored 350 right now, but then they also may have been 5-6 down. That's why I think Kumble is never going to be a good Test captain.
yea i prefer 3/322 than say 6/370...big difference that..

Why not? Sure Sharma bowled well to him last match, and Harbhajans his bogey bowler, but that still doesn't change the fact he's a brilliant batsmen and will score runs more often than not.

Ponting won gainst Harbhajan today. Very good to see a batsman get the better of a bowler who has caused him problems in the past. You could tell Harbhajan was getting very frustrated.

no doubt Ponting is a brilliant batsman but if you put ur money on whether Ponting would do well or not (under or over 50) you'd go with the latter...

but thats just me

hope he tons up :)
