***Official*** Zimbabwe in Pakistan

International Captain
Sean Williams looks to be a gun. Will be interesting to see what he can do in the longer form of the game, when and if Zimbabwe are given back Test status.

I hope that zimbabwe plays well in the next match...of course they cant win but at least they should tell Pakistan that theres a word called "fight"....so the matches wont b that boring n one sided

He has a batting average of about 17 in ODI's, better than most Zimbabweans.
Well, that'd be a good point, if it was even close to being true.

Current XI - ODI Batting
1. Vusi Sibanda - 25.07 (36.08 in the last 2 years; 37.75 in the last year)
2. Hamilton Masakadza - 20.73
3. Justice Chibhahba - 25.96
4. Tatenda Taibu - 26.07 (33.26 in the last 2 years; 33.28 in the last year)
5. Brendan Taylor - 28.00
6. Sean Williams - 29.06
7. Stuart Matsikenyeri - 20.90 (29.56 in the 2 years; 29.20 in the last year)
8. Elton Chigumbura - 23.78
9. Prosper Utseya - 10.64
10. Ray Price - 11.62
11. Chris Mpofu - 2.93

Even the guy who bats #8 and opens the bowling averages about 7 more than Rinke with the bat, and I'd honestly have more faith in the guy who bats #10 to score runs opening the batting at international level than Rinke.

And, just to strengthen my point, a few guys who can't even make the side (and yes, they are available):
Keith Debengwa - 22.11
Keegan Meth - 24.33
Terry Duffin - 23.73

I wouldn't even pick Rinke for Zimbabwe A at this point, other than possibly to add some experience to the side.

The most important thing to get out of this, though, is how much you under-rate the Zimbabwean batsmen. They're not great as a unit, at all, but they're all individually better batsmen than you give them credit for. :)

Fair enough. I never really looked into the stats anyway. Thanks for clarifying

Anyway what's with the names Prosper and Justice?

Haha feel sorry for the guy. Just another victim of drunk parents imo. This guy in my cricket club is called Paper but you pronounce it 'pa-par'

Nah it is just common here. Tons of people called Beauty, Patience, Precious etc. But every now and again you come across a gem like the previously mentioned!

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
Will go out on a limb here and say this page is possibly one of the worst in Cricketwebs history.

C'mon ZIm! 2/69 off 16 overs is a fairly decent start.

Hope one or two kick on and score over 50 today.

Yeah, the Zimbabwe batsmen have been steadily improving recently. A couple of them really needs to stand up and show some maturity by converting these starts, though. So many times we'll see them look really good for 30 or 40 and then get out.

Agreed. Gun to see Zim taking apart Iftikhar. 3 overs 0/32. Masakadza has been brutal 49 off 52.
