Did I expect any different from the President and CEO of the Nathan Bracken Fan Club?Haha why? Because he got a little owned against India in a series where all the bowlers suffered? He's a changed bowler and has shown that his superb L&L and variety are good enough to be listed for the big-time. His bowling this season in FC Cricket has been amazing.
Troll feed, I know, but Test cricket is the one form of cricket that minimises the likelihood of flukes.aussie_26 said:all that happend was the 2nd best side won a game against the best side who were just due for a poor peformance atm it was just a fluke if they win the next test than it is no fluke.
BIngo. I don't see the point in playing Harbhajan tbh....he hasn't looked that threatening this series and I really think India need 6 specialist batsmen.I sort of agree with that. And dropping Jaffer weakens the batting a little (even if, admittedly, he has done little of note so far) and makes the tail just a little too long. My only qualm is that it is Adelaide which traditionally favours batsmen (iirc) and slow bowlers (although that said, Indias last win there was built on some fine swing bowling from Agarkar). Jaffer, I think, from what little I have seen of him, seems at times to step a little too far across the stumps in his initial movements and so loses sense of the location of his off stump. If he gets that right, imo he has the makings of a perfectly decent opening batsman.
More to the point, 5 specialist bowlers is too much. One of them is always going to be underbowled. And if Kumble needs spin assistance it can come from Sehwag and Sachin. So, yes. Keep the same side.
Absolute drivel, and that's putting it as politely as it deserves.iff australia was batting at there best than they would of scored over 500 runs no matter how well india bowled
Absolutely. Why on earth bring in a fifth bowler who, at best, will probably bowl seven or eight overs in the innings. Absolute madness.BIngo. I don't see the point in playing Harbhajan tbh....he hasn't looked that threatening this series and I really think India need 6 specialist batsmen.
The only change I would possibly contemplate is Karthik for Jaffer but I fancy they may give Jaffer another chance.
Who will ever forget Rahul's Adelaide vigil (in both innings) four years ago!In keeping with my prediction from a few weeks back, Dravid to have a big game in Adelaide.
Yep. When the bowling was their strength and the batting their 'weakness' why would you play an extra bowler? Anyway, don't mess with a winning formula.Absolutely. Why on earth bring in a fifth bowler who, at best, will probably bowl seven or eight overs in the innings. Absolute madness.
I was there for the first innings knock, was awesome. He and Laxman batted so well together. I remember perhaps one or two balls beating the bat all day. The hook for six to bring up his ton was a little surprising considering his play was through the off-side all day! Don't think Big Bad Brad Williams saw it coming either......Who will ever forget Rahul's Adelaide vigil (in both innings) four years ago!
One of the great Test match batting performances.
ha Even Marto had to sacrifice himself at the Gabba in honour of Tugga's two month farewell carnival.williams...gosh our bowling attack was parc that summer. that was a strange summer...all the cricket seemed to get overshadowed by the steve waugh fairwell tour
Well, both really but especially WIlliams. Bloke was asleep at deep fine because there was barely a ball hit there all day. Paint was taken off the cover and cover point boundaries, though.Especially since Gillespie was the one he hit for six to ton up. Or was Williams at fine leg what you'rer referring to?
Fair thing to say in some ways and before yesterday, I'd have said yes but it does ignore his ton in Adelaide last year which put the Aussies in the box seat rather than, if he'd failed, say, 100+ behind on first innings. The Aussies were doing well, yes, but it had a different sort of pressure. Still pressure, though.Pup - rottweiler or poodle?

Obviously cracks when the teams under pressure. Do you have Symonds' and Hussey's stats for winning and losing matches for Australia? These two are the ones that usually step up in times of need.Pup - rottweiler or poodle?
