in terms of talent:

noble > dykstra > chuck palumbo, and imo the gimmick is pretty terrible, "the man who rides motorcycles that he made himself, all american, no foreign influence", just stupid.
Haha yeah - Palumbo must be the only man ever to work an All-American gimmick (he's basically the American Badass all over again right now) and an "I'm a heel because I'm not American" gimmick (The F.B.I.). Nothing gets him over. Actually, that's not true - he was way over as half of Chuck and Billy.

Jamie Noble FTW, BTW. One of the best in the WWE Technically. I hope Palumbo's heel turn is also going to turn Noble face, 'cause I for one would love to see Noble vs Helms for the Cruiserweight title. Even if we have to wait another 6 months for Helms' return.

in fairness to palumbo, he's ok, can work a match alright without being spectacular, but as you say the fans just do not respond to him, haha I think Noble is great as well, enjoyed his backstage "dinner date" with michelle mcool a few weeks ago genuinely quite funny.

Funny again how most of the people in the FBI end up with crap gimmicks, like Vito "the man who wears a dress" ffs that was lame, and not seen nunzio/guido for months now, has he been fired or something?

Nah, I think Nunzio still works house shows and occasionally jobs to Kevin Thorn on ECW. Although Thorn himself gets no airtime these days thanks to the new ECW/SD! exchange deal. Which is a good thing, unless it prevents Elijah Burke from developing. Heck of a bright future if he gets some mic time and a new finisher.

As for Palumbo, yeah, I'd imagine the reason he's had 4 separate WWE runs (if you count the one during the Invasion angle) under 4 separate gimmicks is because he can work a good match and cut a decent promo - trouble is he always gets stuck with gimmicks that aren't gonna work, and crappy feuds. Also his recent heel turn is pretty lame, I'm not a believer in face/heel turns happening over a period of time. They're much more effective when they happen instantly, by turning on a tag team partner or something. Then you don't get the awkward few weeks where the fans aren't sure whether to boo or cheer and the guy ends up just not getting over at all, which is exactly what's happening to Palumbo right now.

Look at HBK - they make a big deal on Raw all the time about Michaels having turned on every single one of his tag team partners over the years, and those storylines are a reason why Michaels continues to get over (aside from his outstanding talent in almost every department, I mean). He's great at making the quick shift from face to heel. You can't suddenly have a guy get a bit annoyed 'cause he loses a few matches and then expect the crowd to start booing him. Crowds aren't that harsh.

not sure if I read wwe.com correctly but it seems foley will be in the RR this year, which is quite decent news, shame he doest have a chance in hell of winning it, bad news however is that hornswoggle is in it, complete waste of an entry really.
Just read something new and interesting on this. Apparently Foley's appearance on Raw last week and his entry into the Rumble are the beginning of a new run for him. It's expected that his Rumble entry will lead to a feud and eventually a match at WM24. It's not known who his opponent is yet - early speculation is that a good bet would be Vince McMahon, but I'm skeptical of that as Vince seemed very, very reluctant to do any in-ring work during his feud with Lashley, and looked distinctly immobile for most of it.

If Foley's gonna feud with someone else, you can expect the match at 'Mania to probably be a Street Fight or Hardcore Match, or some sort of variation on that theme. Therefore I'd say the candidates in WWE right now, besides Vince, who'd do well in that sort of match, and who Foley hasn't already faced, and who are likely to be available at WrestleMania are: Tommy Dreamer (who wouldn't love to see Foley vs Dreamer on the grandest stage of them all?), Shane McMahon (unlikely seeing as he's got kids and he doesn't do his usual highspots and insanely dangerous stuff any more), William Regal (long shot, but it'd be a great match), or possibly Umaga. Unless they're gonna give someone a chance to prove themselves in a gimmick match, or they're gonna bring back someone old. Interesting stuff, whatever happens.

I love how Mick's weight is different every time he comes back to start a short run. This time he's back in one of his proper fat stages, it's great.

Also, hahaha@Candice Michelle doing filthy fetish videos before she came to the WWE.

Haha, there's just so many things to love about Foley. His many gimmicks, his sense of humour, his inexplicable love of tearing himself apart in the name of entertainment.

I heard about this Candice thing, apparently this rumour's a lot more true than the one that claimed Mickie James had done certain similar things in a past life. Which is good, 'cause I love Mickie. She's mine. :@

Well, Mickie definitely has dirty pics on the internets. I can verify that one. Unless it's just someone who looks a helluva lot like her. xD

I hope he manages to get himself in shape before the big PPV if he is back for a run, though, not because I have a problem with his weight. Just whenever he does work his ass off and get fit(ter) before a big match it usually ends up being a stormer.

Thought I'd post in one of my favourite threads after quite a while. Unfortunately, TNA seems to get no love from you guys as they have the most talented roster around. Christian Cage is undoubtedly the MVP and the golden standard at the moment. Brilliant matches and brilliant promos.

I'd like to see more discussion about TNA, Impact and PPV's but it seems this thread sadly just seems WWE central.

Speaking of TNA, recent reports suggest that both former TNA superstars Ron 'The Truth' Killings and Chris Harris are both headed to WWE. Personally, I've always liked Ron Killings and what he bought to TNA.

Sadly, TNA haven't done anything worthwile with Ron Killings for the last 3 years. Chris Harris seems to look like a smaller version of Chuck Palumbo and he might get stuck on ECW or Smackdown although he does have the look that WWE like and appreciate.

However, Ron Killings could team with Shelton Benjamin and Elijah Burke on ECW and potential interesting storylines could arise.

I do catch TNA whenever I can, but it's not often 'cause I don't know what time it airs over here so I usually end up missing it.

where I like TNA, i cant help but think "this is just wrestling re-heated" a lot of the time when i watch it, love christian, but was more into TNA when styles was maineventing all the time, him being pushed down the card to accomodate stars like angle and booker just doesnt sit well with me and sends out the wrong messages...

that said almost EVERYTHING WWE do irritates me, and yet i still go back and watch it most weeks when i can be bothered to, but yet i have no idea why...because most of the time its terrible

yeah I heard this a while ago actually, meant to be building up a MAJOR angle for him, but the options are limited and pretty poor for the most part, foley would be wasted in a match with vince due to vince being pretty much incapable of anything good, and foley will almost certainly job this match as he always does, so it should be against a decent opponent, i'm guessing kennedy may be free for a match, or foley vs HBK would also be well worth seeing, will hopefully actually make WM worth watching.

TNA is good, my only real problem with it is they over-book things. They're so concerned with being different from WWE that the six-sided ring isn't enough, they have to have outrageous matches like an inverted ladder match, or a match where you have to make someone bleed and then pin them. If they simpled things up it'd be a hell of a lot easier for guys to get over.

haha was that the ladder match when they werent allowed to use ladders and the belt was hung on a rope across the ring? terrible idea, the thing fell down about 5 times during the match and had to be put back up, very shoddy.
