Welcome to The Odeon *** Panther Dome for the match between Anchormen and Magical Ponies.

We can tell you that Anchormen won the toss and elected to field. The pitch is looking quite cracked! A field day for the seam bowlers I would reckon on this sunny day.

Lets join our team for ball-by-ball commentary...

Massive game against Cameron here, the first OD game at the Odeon *** Panther Dome, and the inaugural Canning-Mcmillan Trophy fixture.

End of Over 10: 34-1, runrate=3.40
Mulholland 5-0-11-0
Burger* 20 (38 balls)
Terry 2 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Farmer b. Mullis 10 (FOW: 28/1)

Cameron's batsmen now have 10 overs of nothin' but Mcmillan & Ralph, so it could be an interesting period...
Going along steadily enough here, glad we saw off the first 10 of McMillan and Ralph with just the one wicket of Burger.

End of Over 25: 105-2, runrate=4.20
Payton 3-0-21-0
Tedstone* 19 (33 balls)
Terry 44 (44 balls)
Last Wicket: Burger c. Wolfenden b. Ralph 30 (FOW: 59/2)

BARNES OUT
34.6 W Holmes to Holly
That's a rocket! But it's hit right at Hamlin, he juggles it and makes the catch. Outstanding fielding!

Lame.

End of Over 35: 184-2, runrate=5.26
Holmes 8-0-32-1
Dylan* 90 (105 balls)
Munroe 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Holly c. Hamlin b. Holmes 67 (FOW: 184/2)

Will be happy with 280+.

Ralph 10-2-34-1
Tedstone* 48 (86 balls)
Canning 21 (29 balls)
Last Wicket: Terry b. Mulholland 46 (FOW: 110/3)

Really need to take off now, Tedstone has to get his SR up. I'll be needing at least 230 really

Very good finish for me there, Tedstone really accelerated at the end before getting out with 5 balls to go.

End of Over 50: 256-4, runrate=5.12
Payton 10-0-73-1
Canning* 70 (57 balls)
Griffin 5 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Tedstone b. Payton 91 (FOW: 246/4)

Should be a close chase

Weerappuli* 5 (2 balls)
Siyabonga 46 (95 balls)
Last Wicket: Dhindsa c. Verhoeven b. Groves 35 (FOW: 100/3)

Clapo has us tied down. Dhinners 35 was off nearly 100 balls. Pullers just hit a 4 aws so he should be able to up the run rate.

And that's the end of the match. Tawonga Tigers won by 6 wickets.
Opening Balance 135-10
Tawonga Tigers 137-4

 Thanks for the match, Clapo.

Tense times in the inaugural Canning-Mcmillan Trophy fixture.

End of Over 30: 152-3, runrate=5.07, reqrunrate=5.25 (256-4)
Canning 10-0-36-1
Mcmillan* 47 (50 balls)
Gray 64 (72 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcinally lbw b. Potgieter 3 (FOW: 74/3)

Tedstone, the hero with the bat, removed Bhutia for a meagre 18, who was soon to be followed by Mcinally. Now Gray and Mcmillan are playing some shots and keeping the scoreboard ticking over. They just saw off Canning... 10-0-36-1... yes thanks :D

Now it gets a bit tricky, Potters & Tedders finishing their 10 in tandem now. Need these two to just stay in.

Wolfenden 0 (0 balls)
Last Wicket: Mcmillan c. Potgieter b. Fernando 91 (FOW: 220/4)

Mcmillan goes for 91, but I fear it's too late to prevent the win

Edit: Wolfenden goes, one more wicket and it's the tail. Still a very tough ask for me to win it.

End of Over 46: 236-5, runrate=5.13, reqrunrate=5.25 (256-4)
Erasmus 8-0-39-0
Houlihan* 4 (6 balls)
Gray 96 (112 balls)
Last Wicket: Wolfenden Run Out 2 (FOW: 230/5)

International Regular
Really tight game against a team much better than mine.

End of Over 45: 270-5, runrate=6.00, reqrunrate=7.00 (304-7)
Hougaard 8-1-58-0
Mohan* 106 (107 balls)
Dodd 12 (11 balls)

Should get there but if we lose a wicket we'll be in trouble.

Haha, awesome stuff, Andy.

Magical Ponies 4/256 from 50.0 overs
Tedstone 91
Canning 70*
Mulholland 1/19
Ralph 1/34

Anchormen 5/257 from 48.0 overs
Gray 105*
Mcmillan 91
Canning 1/36

MOTM: Gray (105*)

Anchormen win the Canning-Mcmillan Trophy by 5 wickets.

:D

Awesome effort from Mcmillan & Gray in the runchase... things looked dire at 3/74 without Bhutia but Mcmillan smacked Andy's bowlers around and was unlucky to fall short of a century. A bit of a scare when Wolfenden fell, but Houlihan & Gray kept their nerves. Really exciting game Andy, I look forward to next season's installment ;)

Haha no probs, disappointed my bowlers couldn't do a little better but meh. I was always the underdog once I'd rested Harris & Moloto imo. Well played NZT :)
