Best captain for each team

For NZ its a tie between Crowe and Fleming. Alot of the time both had issues with team selection or just crap players to use. Fleming probably edges out Crowe because he captained the side for a longer period in which he won the ICC trophy in Kenya, pushed the Aussies right to the brink in their own backyard, beat England in England, etc etc. Crowe apart from 92 WC didn't do a hell of alot mainly through lack of opportunity thanks to the Crowe vs Rutherford spat.
Who beat Australia in their own backyard? Jeremy Coney, wazznit?

Think so. Poor form by me for not suggesting him anyway, though one thing against him is he had world class players to use. Definitely in the top 3 if not our number 1 captain though .

Howarth has a good claim for NZ.
The end of his captaincy career was tainted by his drinking. By the time he wrapped up, most of the senior players were making the decisions on the field. Regardless, he was at the forefront of some great NZ sides.
