Johnson wasn't overly impressive, but I'd still peg him to take wickets over Johnson.
Mind, agreed that Tait & Johnson are both better bets than Hogg, and presume that's what you meant.

Few years ago when Warne was injured or whatever and MacGill was bowling well they went for four quicks at Perth, so with Hogg not bowling well, I'm pretty sure they'll go with four, especially given the recent 20/20 game there.I think Hogg performed well in the first innings. The wicket of Laxman was a big one.
Sure, he failed to get wickets in the second innings, I still can't see him being dropped for the WACA test.
Symonds bowls well in Perth when he's bowlers seamers, the selectors will feel that picking Hogg will balance the side more.
If there is a change I have no doubts that it will be Johnson out Tait in.
I'm pretty sure they won't factor in the Twenty20 match so much when naming a XI.Few years ago when Warne was injured or whatever and MacGill was bowling well they went for four quicks at Perth, so with Hogg not bowling well, I'm pretty sure they'll go with four, especially given the recent 20/20 game there.
I think he's mentioning the pitch, and not the match itself.I'm pretty sure they won't factor in the Twenty20 match so much when naming a XI.
An in form MacGill? I doubt it, not on a pitch that Michael Clarke can turn it on.Nah, MacGill would just have bowled and got belted.
Sorry, didn't make it obvious. I was referring to the pitch.I'm pretty sure they won't factor in the Twenty20 match so much when naming a XI.
Pick him, it'll go above 60.Pick Hogg. Needs to get that average under 40. Please. Sir.
How well's he gone there in his career?I'd still pick Hogg. Generally bowls with a lot of overspin, and the bounce at the WACA may well suit him. Home ground and knows how to bowl there.
Even in form, MacGill's not as accurate as Clarke and Symonds tend to be. And while he could conceivably have done well had he bowled well (which he's not completely incapable of), so could any specialist spinner worth their salt.An in form MacGill? I doubt it, not on a pitch that Michael Clarke can turn it on.
