Clarke comes on to bowl. We must be really desperate for a wicket.
1. Clarke bowled well in the first session.

2. He is one bowler against whom Tendulkar played cautiously early on.

3. Clarke is not a bad bowler at all, particularly on this pitch where it is spinning so much.

Draw 1.50
Australia 3.10
India 9.00

Even if it ends in a draw and despite the umpiring, it's been a really good Test with nearly every passage of play enjoyable to watch. It will be sad not to see the record broken, but if it's any consolation you could argue that with Langer, Warne, McGrath and Martyn out, it's not the same side and they might not deserve such a record, to an extent. Dunno.

Hate to harp on about it, but just imagine the state of this test if Symonds had been given out on 30 odd now. There were a lot of comments about how that decision ruined the test, but could it have just been one of the many twists destined to make this test a classic? India would be well in control now if Australia had been dismissed for 150 odd and the test would be far less interesting for mine.

*Note: I'm in no way suggesting Symonds deserves credit for his innings. :p

Partnership of 78 surpasses the best 8th wicket partnership for India in Australia which was previously held by Gavaskar and Binny (1986)
