Og Great, whta's happening to all the Australian pitches? The WACA losing pace and bounce, the SCG evidently not a turner.... dear oh dear....
The WACA is not losing pace and bounce.

Sydney is a very good pitch. Good for the bowlers day 1, good for batting day 2 and day 3 and then great for the spinners on day 4 and day 5.

Sharma looks like a thousand times more better in the field then what his team mates did in Melbourne.

Benauds comment that they should bowl a spinner in the first session is quite an obvious one.

With the Indian lineup there is no way Sharma, Singh and Ganguly will bowl for 2 hours, without Kumble and Harbajhan having a bowl.

Spin will be on before the drinks break I think.

Wait for the Test Match. It may not be as bouncy as it was in the 80s, but the pitch is gaining pace and bounce from the past few years.
Right.... and well, if a pitch is good for the pacemen on day 1, good for batting on days 2 and 3, and take spin on the last 2 days, then you're talking about any pitch any pitch in general mate.... but we'll see....

The great thing about this Indian team is our bench strength and not relying on a particular player that much. Have said this so many times on cw but this is evident at best right now... we are missing our best fast bowler and it doesn't seem to affect us much. Too early obviously and missing Zaheer is not good but I am not as fussed as I would have been had say we lost Srinath in a test in the 90s - which highlights what I am talking about.

On a less serious note, we finally have a battery of fast bowlers? Silent Striker... care to make a new avatar in place of wheel of mediocrity? :D

Ponting getting in to act to make 100. Indians will have a long day on the field I suppose. Ball doing something for the bowlers but it will not continue all the day.

Love how you quoted my point twice P Caddy and gave different answers.

It's still going to offer a bit for the spinners at the SCG on the first 3 days. It's just you'll notice the difference most likely towards the end of day 3 when the scuff marks will be huge. Who wants to see a big turner on Day 1? Not I..
