Seriously George has bowled decently without much luck, should have had Yuvraj's wicket to his name so i won't say he was too bad especially when you consider he is facing a team like India who play spin bowling.

Some really top stuff today from Australia, really top stuff.

Enjoyed watching the whole first 2 sessions (not following the current one live) and yes, I even gained some pleasure from watching Dravid struggle at the crease. The best part of the day was watching SRT bat, the 1 1/2 hours from lunch to almost tea went almost unnoticed in just watching the master bat. Such a shame he got out too, the only Indian bat (along with Laxman and Ganguly to an extent) who looked comfortable out there against quality bowling.

Hogg has bowled better than his figures suggest, but he may have the chance now to get at the tail and to improve those wickets. Wrt to Clark, for such a good (but not quick) bowler, it surprises me a little to see so few batsmen not standing out of their crease to him. Has he got a sudden quick change of gear that no-one has told me about?

Ponting captaincy has just been first rate in this game, he has had very good field placements and he has also made spot on bowling changes.
So :thumbsup: to Punter.

Harby was hit halfway up the leg, would've probably knocked middle out of the ground. Bowden probably thought there was an edge, don't really see how else it could've been not out.

Yeh bowled great. Wow one of the top 3 batsman in the world got after him. Wouldn't have gone after anyone else would he?? lol

Cheers...Bowden's a bit of a clown. Only got where he is today by being one imo

One of the most plumb LBWs I've ever seen. Almost as bad as the Simon Jones one in 2005 off a full toss. Good on Lee for cracking him in the ribs next over.

And Hogg gets Harbhajan aws. Australia in control here.

Well, I wouldn't say the bowling attack is that great - but as you say, the Indians aren't used to a well drilled attack. Most test attacks are pretty average.

And the Indians have never been able to play well in Australian conditions.

I hate to tell you this but it is a lost cause. The series is over.
Unfortunately, as is the case a lot more often than not in test cricket, it is all too predictable.

Not sure if that is sarcasm or not (your Victoria, so I tend not to think you have the required wit :laugh: ) but Hoggy has been nowhere near as average as his figures may suggest.

Not a hint of sarcasm there. Well, not about Hogg, about Tendulkar there is.

Hogg has bowled a great spell and has been very unlucky not to have had Ganguly out 38 times.

(but tbf, I did not think MacGill bowled well in Hobart, was very unlucky in Brisbane though)
