***Official*** England in Sri Lanka

Hasn't anyone heard the forecasts? Unless there's some very serious mistakes made there'll be no play the next 2 days, so this game will be a draw.
I'd heard about day 3, but not day 4. If you're right, then I'll concede that even England might struggle to be dismissed twice on day 5.

Celebrations in Galle as the SL runrate reaches 3 an over for the first time in the innings

Or the GIS Media Centre in this case.

Yeah, good light stopped play in the end. Then minutes later, it was bad enough for bad light to stop it.

Saw brief "highlights" of the morning session before I left for work (Cook's shell was a sharp-ish chance, but one you'd hope to take at this level) and it's seemed pretty unedifying stuff thereafter followed from a combo of TMS & yer interweb. Prior's drop of Dilshan off Sidebottom had Hughes quite animated (not far enough over for the left-armer apparently & the seventh chance he's missed from the curly haired southpaw this year!!!), but the whole thing has quite a perfunctory air about it. Sri Lanka content not to lose and England not being quite good enough to force the issue.

Our first-string bowling attack taking precisely no wickets in a whole day's play is pretty bad. I doubt it's unprecedented, but I can't recall it happening of late.

Brilliant batting from Mahela, but too slow for my liking, and welcome to return from Dilshan.

Vaas is playing well so, tomorrow both batsman should go ballistic and look to acore 70-100 runs in 15 overs. Mahela can do it and Vaas also knows very well to use the long handle.

SL must get ENG for less than 200 in 1st innings to win this. With rain and slow pitch, other wise it will be another draw

Sky boys have said the weather forecast for tomorrow and Friday is 100% chance of rain, so presumably one can write this game off already as a draw.

Yeah and that wouldn't be an ideal end to this series would have ideally like this match going down to the wire to keep everyone's interest in the series alive.

4/22 It must be great for those watching it ....I am only following it on Cricinfo...

What a great piece of fielding by Dilshan to get rid of Bell...
