Next England Manager

Why would anyone choose to have Redknapp over Capello/Hiddink/Mourinho, unless they're going for the blinkered English-only thing.

Yeah exactly, rate him as a club manager but as Sledge said a couple of days ago he relies a lot on wheeling and dealing, which he can't do at international level.

I wouldn't, but if they turned us down and we had to pick an Englishman, harry all the way

Naaah, Capello is coming to Australia, rule him out...(highly unlikely, but can one can still hope :p)

You mean he relies a lot on the exact kind of stuff he's being investigated by the police for doing? We're definitely doomed.

ITS a LOST CAUSE Mr Capello, don't take the job
He already has. And he has brought with him goalkeeping coach Franco Tancredi who has said it is his job now to find a decent goalkeeper.

Would be interesting in how Capello manages the team since he won't take any crap from prima donnas or underperforming stars (like Ronaldo being sold and then they won La Liga). So I guess he wouldn't be afraid to either axe Lampard and/or Gerrard despite his God-like status in the red half of Scouserland.

absolutely right man for the job, couldnt be happier with the appointment tbh, last thing we need is a clueless english coach like gareth southgate, or a distinctly mediocre one like alan curbishley, for once the FA have got it right, and I hope for gods sake nobdy listens to the idiots complaining about there being no english coach's in the backroom team, its completely pointless, all the old crappy coaching staff are completely antiquainted and need to be replaced by a team that know what they are doing, i can now hontesly say i'm looking forward to watching england play again.

If there was a manager good enough, he would of got the job. The only issue would be language, I can't think of anybody in the team that can speak Italian, and Owen Hargreaves would probably be the most multi-lingual (sic?) player in the team.

Capello to hire Carlo Cudicini as a translater in 5..4..3

Love the irony of commenting about language in this post. Especially love the irony of spelling translator wrong.

Ridiculously overhyped expectations fts

Oh, and Cudicini is Italian. If you're planning to go down that route, Spain should be allowed to field

Casillas
Ayala - Milito - Puyol - Alves
Riquelme - Eto'o - Maxi Rodriguez
Messi - Villa - Saviola

Spain'll be playing Sunny in the future despite being Nigerian, although he is technically Spanish for dodgy reasons.
