BARNES OUT
How was Ian Chappell last night.

"Vettori's one of the few players who's stats against Australia are better than against other sides."

Meanwhile his stats vs. Australia flash up on the screen and they're over 7 runs per wicket greater that his career average.

I really can't see much merit in playing Sinclair and batting him at 7 either tbh. I think we need to drop Vincent and make Skippy open
I've lost patience with Lou to be honest. Does Matthew Sinclair want to open? Personally I'd be a bit worried if McCullum went early and we had Sinclair and How at the crease so I'm not convinced anyway. Peter Fulton for me would do the job.

Hahah...had to laugh at that one. He didn't have much to say after that flashed up.

Should get Fulton on the next plane tbh

Agreed. Hes averaging 67 in domestic cricket with 334 runs so his form is clearly better than Vincent's.

Out of interest what do you rate Andre Adam's chances of a recall. I personally wouldn't mind seeing him back again, especially on New Zealand pitches vs Bangladesh and England (the side he took his 6 test match wickets against).

You simply can't ignore 29 wickets at ave 8. I would like to see him play. Can't see it though. Don't think he and Braces see eye to eye

I thought Adams was a bit stiff to play one Test when he didn't do much wrong in that game. I know he had back problems after that, but still.

I think you're right, which is a shame though I don't blame Adams for feeling a bit aggreived. Am yet to read Astle's book which I got the other day which apparently has a bit about Bracewell and his relationship with him.

Six wickets at about 17 isn't exactly too bad is it!

I think his absence in the test side was much to do with his previously patchy ODI form with the ball though his performances this season for Auckland have been exceptional.

I would imagine it would be on how they hated each others guts? And if they were in prison it would be a knife fight straight away?

After reading it, I will let you know on how close to the mark you are. :p
I have a feeling I will be close, well maybe not the knife fight bit, but you usually wouldn't expect somebody to write a autobiograhy and have section on somebody and on how they loved them so much. It wouldn't sell the bloody book.

Lol @ Mcullum.

Tait's 'comment' that NZ batsmen looked uncomfortable against pace was more fact than anything. A blind man could see that the Kiwis were having a huge amount of trouble handling him and Lee in Perth. Why? Their tremendous pace was definitely a contributor.

"If he's Glenn McGrath, he can probably throw comments like that out there,"

What does this mean? So unless a bowler is as good as Glenn McGrath he's not allowed to state the obvious? Terrible.

"But my only advice would be to maybe get a few more statistics behind him before he starts mouthing off."

Yes, McCullum, a man with just magnificent ODI statistics is allowed to comment when Tait with terrible ODI statistics such as an ODI SR of 25 and bowling average of 24 shouldn't be allowed to comment....What a hypocrite. McCullum should keep his bloody mouth shut if he believes you should have some decent statistics behind you before you start 'mouthing off'. Quite fairly, his ODI stats are poor and he has a history of mouthing off to players out in the centre.
