A bit disappointed by the Petersen decision to be honest...SL are well known for sportsmanship and it should've been Mahela's call to ask Petersen to return or continue his innings...Particularly as the screen would've shown the replay....

Disappointing ...and lack of sportsmanship tbh...

SL are well known for sportsmanship? Is that why Silva claimed the catch when he quite very obviously dropped it? He would've known he'd dropped it.

He may have not realised it - but the replay should've given adequate justification to call KP back....So that was poor ....Anyway I would expect the English to justifiably call the sportsmanship in this instance into question ...

but isn't it a bit rich coming from an Aussie given the Underarm and similar achievements you have in your past records...

No, he wouldn't, not neccessarily.

I've seen several catches where the fielder has obviously doubted whether he's caught it or not, if the player claims it's pretty likely he thought he'd caught it.

Don't really care TBH, overall career averages mean little to me. I'm happy enough with an average of the times he's been brilliant and the times he's been totally lacking in penetration. Will take a while to compile, but I'll do it when his career's finished. I seem to remember I did some sort of rough calculation and it was something like 60 and 20.

International Coach
Matt Prior needs to work on his driving(particularly on the front foot). Kyle Mills and co will really be relishing bowling to him if he continues to drive in the manner in which he is doing at the moment.

International Debutant
Ha Ha did the 3rd umpire give sidebottom not out because it didn't hit the glove because it was definately a good catch. Didn't think he was allowed to do that:-O

Prior batting well and slowly inching England to 400 ....IMHO this is the crucial part of the innings and these runs could determine winning or losing even securing a draw...

400 plus and England cannot lose this Test...

And 450 would put England odds on to win the Test given SL will be batting last on a slow scoring turner late day 4 or day 5 against Monty...
