Completely disagree. Doesn't matter if its a bit of hit-and-giggle, a team such as New Zealand should have easily accounted for the side the Chairman's XI put out today.

For ****'s sake, the bowling attack included Angel, Campbell, some Olsen bloke and worst of all Shawn Gillies (who is a grade cricketer at the very best). Embarrassing effort from the Kiwis.

Its because Dan the Man wasn't playing and annoying pathetic domestic level only please bowlers were.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, if O'Brien and Martin ever play in the same ODI on a flat pitch against Australia that 434 is going to look tiny.

ANYWAY....Mills to take a 5 wicket bag and O'Brien and Martin to go for over 100 each.

It doesn't remotely matter whether they accounted for said side. It's a game with absolutely no significance. The Kiwi team could have stayed out until 3AM if they wanted to and I'd not have been bothered in the slightest. The outcome of this game simply does not matter, in any way shape or form.

It matters if O'Brien and Martin are just warming up for the next game.

I'd rather Lance Hamilton or hell, even Tama Canning ahead of those two TBH.

We don't need this game to know O'Brien's awful, though. He shouldn't ever have got near the team again after the South Africa tour.

Pah, pitiful, I've done 4:20AM before now, AND designed an avatar too. AND I used to routinely stay up till 2 or 3AM CWing and other things.

Result, no. Time in the middle is always good though.

Oh, certainly - but that always applies. Easiest way to get time in the middle is to basically bat in the middle under net conditions - ie, keep going for as long as you want, regardless of how many times you're out.
