***Official*** New Zealand in Australia

International Debutant
I don't understand the wisdom behind having Brad Haddin in the 13 man squad for the C-H series he has definitely performed exceptionally well in both Ranger cup and international games but at that time he was filling in for Mike Hussey, but with Hussey back in the team i can't see Haddin playing in the XI, it would have been better to select an extra fast bowler (Noffke, Hilfenhaus) or a young spinner to give them a taste of international cricket to give them a game during the series.
unlikely but he could play at #7 (which would mean Symo/Pup share 5th bowler duties) which wouldn't be something i'd condemn ..especially against NZ on potentially flat wickets

he'll def. play in a dead rubber if there is one ud think tho
(as will tait)

(agreed with ur team)

Pup, do Aussie have any young spinners? I haven't heard many names being tossed around on here.
Nathan Hauritz, Dan Cullen and Aaron Heal or even Chris Simpson are decent options to try in the Odi's as Hogg is already 36 and it won't be long before he retires from Odi's so Australia should start looking at their future options.

School Boy/Girl Captain
James Hopes over the in form Nofkee. imo this is a mistake as Nofkee's batting has improved so much and his bowling has more options than Hopes just trying to dry up the run rate.

Chuffed there are no Vic boys in the squad.

Warney, dead set, the only Vic I have ever had any time for!

Anyway, would have preferred Noffers Noffke over Hopes in this squad.

Pointless having Hopes in the team if he's going to bat at seven or below, which he always will for Australia.

Pretty disappointed that Haddin made the squad, was hoping they would give Hodge another chance or Voges a real chance. Oh well atleast Clark got dropped.

If a batsman like Mike Hussey can bat at 7 then what's wrong with Hopes batting at 7 for Australia, anyways i am also starting to get a feeling that David Hussey would have to shift back to Western Australia if he has any hopes of playing for Australia.

Wouldn't make the WA batting line up even without Test players TBH. Even if he did he would actually get dropped when he has his yearly 3-4 poor matches in a row.

I can't believe I ate the whole thing
I see us missing the real X factor players for us to win. No Fulton, no Bond, no McMillan and dare I say it, no Franklin. McCullum opening will rob us of the fireworks we need in the lower order which will no rely on Oram to provide an aggressive approach. My hope is Mills and Vettori can contain Australia to about 250 which I can see us chasing, but nothing over 275 IMO.

Yeah Fulton should definitely play

Chairman's XI vs New Zealand match going on atm. Heal is playing, which is ace, and so is Ryan Campbell. :D

CAXI 157/4 (23.3)
Pomersbach 88 (65)
Hussey. D 32* (30)
Davis 30 (43)

Martin and Oram the only bowlers that have been decent. O'Brien is the worst International Cricketer I may have ever seen.
