Opening the batting. I'm deadly serious. He can take the shine off the ball - he'd do a better job of that regularly than Hameed/Hafeez/Farhat/whoever IMO, and he could bowl a few overs per match flat out (and by a few, I mean about 5 per innings) just trying to change it up a bit.btw sami is such a nice guy...hes reallly cute...when i met him he was so nice to me so since then i really like that guy n always pray for him....btw hes really a decent batsman...bt hes in the team for his bowling....when shoaib/asif/gul...will b fit i cant see any place for sami in the team
It's over 50 now...Cant wait for him to get that average above 50, seems to be on that borderline for quite a while now.
Presuming, that is, he could bat as he has in his last few innings. That's a fair ask, though, TBH.Opening the batting. I'm deadly serious. He always seems to bat like that when I see him, though. Obviously he doesn't do it every time or his record would be much better, but presuming he has the mental capacity and desire to do such a thing, I really don't think it would be a terrible idea. It clearly has no chance of happening and, if we're being serious here, really shouldn't, but I'd like to see it happen.Presuming, that is, he could bat as he has in his last few innings. Sorry but don't agree with this post, to be talented as a bowler first and formost you have to be able to put the ball in a good area consistently something which he has never had. He might have had some potential a good 7 or 8 years ago when he swung the ball considerably at around 150kph. 26 is young as a cricketer but considering as I've said that he's been around for a good few years now and people should be growing impatient with him. I hope he doesn't play 10 more test matches.Mohammad Sami is not poor in the sense of a lack of talent, he is a poor performer but one of incredible talent and at the age of 26, he will play probably ten more Tests at least before the selectors lose patience if he has not improved.
The fact is that he posesses the ability to bowl incredibly fast (150kph) and swing the ball but has slowed down for accuracy. The fact that he has done this is a testoment to the dire level of coaching that he has had.
The 10 more Test matches is a realistic thing though, not a wish, I can see them putting their faith in him for a bit longer.Sorry but don't agree with this post, to be talented as a bowler first and formost you have to be able to put the ball in a good area consistently something which he has never had.
