***Official*** England in Sri Lanka

This really hasn't been a bad over by Anderson at all apart from the pull that got pulled to the leg side, but it's gone for 6 fours. Jayasuriya will be out in no time if he tries to keep this up.

Six fours in the over for Jayasuriya. How many times has that happened in Test cricket?
Only know of 1 other occasion, Gayle off Hoggard at The Oval in 2004. Something tells me someone said that was unique then, but I can't believe it was.

Or the game will be shifting decisively towards SL. Nice way to go for Jaya, but this is looking like a big home win now that the new ball's been seen off.

Brave come back by Anderson. And what turned out to be good captaincy to keep him on. England in desperate need of a wicket though.

Am never in favour of taking a bowler off after an over like that. Freak incidents. Bit like I hate to see the mid-off pushed back when someone hits one shot over the top of him.

Sanath is so close to 65 so he can retire with an average above 40 and he's on;y 49 short of 7000 in his career.

It would be pretty special if Jaysuriya gets 7000 runs and then takes 3 wickets to get his career 100. Probably not going to happen though.

This is concerning for England, they are totally blowing a winning position.

Not that they have never done that before 8-) .

IMO, England's bowling attack looks pretty weak once there's no swing available.

Both Hoggard and Sidebottom are only effective when there's swing around.
Anderson too is more of a swing bowler albeit, a less accurate version of the aforementioned two.

And I expect SRi Lanka to play Panesar well generally.
So England have got big problems with their bowling attack IMO.

Congratulations to the master!

Could not have happened at a better place for the little genius! :D

(Its only a pity I could not get to see it live)

Yeah, odd how little it's swung this second-innings. Not a lot else that can be done, though, there's no high-calibre bowlers of cutters and the like around at present.

Now given lbw to one maybe pitching outside leg, fine way to finish for Sanath if this is his last Test innings though.

Harmison :) :)

Haven't seen much of young Broad. Is he worth a shot for the next match ?
