Loved it when the idiot on the radio called Strauss a one day specialist.
Seriously though, when he arrives, close the airports and get him to name a price. Lets follow the poms example and steal what we don't have. In this case openers.

Unfortunately he looks nothing more than ordinary when it comes to internationals. He can't back up his first class and list a performances. His bowling to me looks like straight one in the same spot over and over and has never IMO looked threatening unless its in the final overs of an ODI.
He is over-rated as a batsman and he does not deserve a go unless no-one steps up to the plate to bowl well in our squad eg. The franklins, gillespies, martins, masons, o'briens and the rest.

He's our school wicketkeeper and bats at four (Our 1st XI plays in mens premier grade with the clubs so we can use teachers). Bats at four for CD too and he's OK, won't ever be of international standard but he made a good sadistic (did I mention grumpy?) teacher.
