What's the matter with Watson's batting?

Haha sheesh, so the guy has 3 failures coming back from Injury, and you're all on his back again. The guy could score a triple ton and I'm sure you would all find some reason to jump all over his back.
Yes because he is rubbish.

No, I'm not Joking. He's had to put up with Jerks that have jumped all over his back for the stupidest, and most pathetic reasons for his entire career to date, so he would thoroughly deserve it to get back at all the bastards. The man can't do a thing right according to some, he gets criticised for being soft, yet Jason Gillespie, who was almost as Injury prone as watto early in his career, is/was treated as some sort of hardman hero. FFS he even gets criticised for showing emotion on a cricket field, like ZOMG, that's never happened before, and he's the only person that does so.

If he was so pathetic as a cricketer, and so soft, he wouldn't have made 200 odd in that Pura Cup final against the Vics, where he was batting injured for a fair proportion of the innings. But I suppose it's only cool to hate Watto, so the right thing to do is ignore things that don't conform to the patheticness that is Watson hatred.

That said, the above only makes him a very similar type of player to Jacques Kallis and I forsee similar selfishness accusations being thrown at him in the future
Forsee?

To be fair, part of the reason why most hate Watson is that every time he puts himself into the frame for selection, he almost inevitably get injured. Granted, it may not be his fault that his body keeps failing but its highly frustrating/annoying for supporters who follow his progress when his latest injury saga hits the headlines.

It's not as if Watson is a walk up start for Australia with bat/ball in either formats of the game - so unlike Bond or Shoaib (who are arguably in the top 5 fast bowlers in the world when fit) he isn't welcomed back with open arms when he is injury free. He is not an indispensable member of the Australian lineup unlike Bond/Akhtar for their teams and whenever he gets injured, supporters are averse to backing him as they are more likely to proclaim " Why are we wasting our time with him when we have so and so."

Add to the fact that he looks like Prince Charming doesn't exactly endear himself to the average Australian supporter.

I'm sure he'll get going, everyone has bad periods. I hope it's soon because he must be feeling the pressure a bit now. Also he's in my dream team so get going Watto! :)

The most striking similarity between NZ and Aussie is we both have certain players that are loved when they win, and hated when it goes wrong. The two players it happens with most are Bond and Watson. When Bond is on form the typical rugby watching, fair weather cricket supporter, sports fan harp on about how he's the greatest thing ever (and they have a fair point) but when he's injured the fat, middle aged, pie eating beer guzzling ****s spew out statements in between the regurgitated pie like "Argh, drop the bastard, he's useless, he's soft, harden up ya wimp, back in my day we played on with broken backs and were permanently paralyzed the next day..." blah, blah, blah. The same treatment gets dished out by Aussies to Watson. These people need to realize that not playing on with shattered knees and spines and what not is not being a wimp, its using their intelligence. Something your average crap disher on Watson and Bond distinctly lack in, providng they had any in the first place.

Watson is not even loved when he plays well. I can't work it out but for some reason nobody likes him. It could just be his face because when I look at him I cringe. I sure hope Watson does not visit this forum and read this. Next time he plays I will try my hardest to enjoy his cricket with no bias.
