BEST Indies won the toss and elected to field.

pretty disappointing stuff really. knocked out before the quarters again having reached 4 of the first 5 finals in this competition. my side seems to be doing it tough at the moment, but i guess i can't expect anything different while trying to compete on three different fronts at the same time. fitness has been the main killer, while jason duggan's batting form did not help at all. well done to jaffna and all the best in the next round.

2.3 W Impey to Clunnie
Flashed away and gone! Impey attempts a sharp and quick bouncer, gets the pace and height but width is offered to which Clunnie valiantly attempts to guide over Becconsall at backward point but what a catch!

End of Over 3: 11-1, runrate=3.67
Impey 2-0-9-1
Badenhorst* 1 (2 balls)
Blakeman 8 (9 balls)

Last Wicket: Clunnie c. Becconsall b. Impey 2 (FOW: 4/1)

Nice to get in the early wicket.

5.2 W Ross to Blakeman
Out! Driven to silly mid-off. Good thinking from Ross to put that man in there. He'd spotted a weakness in Blakeman's armoury and he exploited it.

6.4 W Impey to Badenhorst
That was a gem of a delivery. Rising from good length, heading on to Badenhorst's shoulders at great pace. The batsman was caught in an awkward position trying to evade the ball, but caught the top of the bat through to the keeper.

Another wicket just fell.
29/4 (7.3)

As predicted earlier, i am no match for this gun team

End of Over 10: 25-4, runrate=2.50

Edgehill 15 (37 balls)
Last Wicket: Dangasela c. Fish b. Gibb 2 (FOW: 23/4)

State 12th Man
Great start for the Beards on Jamee's cracked pitch - the early wickets going not to Oleary, but to Marriott. Warnock now in and looking set, but not a great deal more batting to come. Will probably have to restrict the 999ers to under 100 to stand a chance of defending against Bardle, though.

End of Over 13: 53-3, runrate=4.08
Wilde 2-0-10-0
Warnock* 24 (18 balls)
Lea 17 (24 balls)
Last Wicket: Snodin b. Marriott 5 (FOW: 20/3)

Caldwell 2-0-4-0
Bridges m* 8 (12 balls)
Bissmire 28 (29 balls)
Last Wicket: Cooper c & b. Hawes 14 (FOW: 64/5)

Ouch.... Terrible toss to lose. somehow i figured I'd pick my longest batting line up to date with a med/med down at 9. Either way if these two do not put up some kind of big partnership together it will be all in vain

23.5 W Patton to Bissmire
That one's come back the other way. It's totally fooled Bissmire who gifts a thick edge to the ever-reliable Manning.

Nooooo!!!!!

Still 39 off that patrnership makes it the highest of the match so far
and we are 103/6

Eh. Wicketless in the middle overs, and a 124 stand for the 4th wicket is taking the game away from us. It'd take a pretty unlikely collapse to keep the score below 200 now, and while I'd hope Oleary can clean up from over 40, I think that'll be 100 runs too many.

End of Over 30: 144-3, runrate=4.80
Marriott 10-0-44-2
Warnock* 75 (69 balls)
Lea 55 (76 balls)

Muldowney 19 (17 balls)
Last Wicket: Cherry c. Becconsall b. Caldwell 17 (FOW: 136/7)

Last viable partnership at the crease, Bridges m finally starting to open up his arms while Muldowney's been all guns blazing since he came on.

Very happy with Vincent's performance. Hoping to get few wickets too.

42.4 . Ross to Pidgley
Pidgley lets that go through to the keeper, happy just to watch that one.
42.3 W Ross to Jongikhaya
Movement from the pitch has seen Jongikhaya bowled, that ball looked fairly innocuous at first.
42.3 wd Ross to Jongikhaya
Looked like a fine ball from here, but the umpire has signalled a wide.
42.2 W Ross to Muldowney
Ross's bowled him! And here comes a dance! He's got great moves, but perhaps he should stick with more traditional dances before entering the national dance contest.
42.1 1 Ross to Bridges m
Gently worked out to the on, deep square leg running in from the boundary to field.

And ross takes away pretty much all hope for a 200+ score

43.5 6 Patton to Pidgley
Pidgley goes for the reverse sweep, and connects beautifully! Six runs! How often do you see that?

I know from a worthless/worthless bat:laugh:

after being reduced to 64/5 I'll haveto accept this

End of Over 47: 200-10, runrate=4.26
Ross 8-0-28-5
Bridges m* 62 (88 balls)

46.3 W Ross to Pidgley
Oh yes! Superb delivery from Ross, pitched outside off stump and swung in late, Pidgley shouldered arms and is mystified to see his off pole knocked out the ground. Quite simply an unplayable ball.

Well bowled Ross, pity with all his batting skill Bridges m has never quite learnt how to bat with the tail

Well, this is about as rubbish a return (10-0-69-2) as Oleary's had all season, and a couple of late wickets don't really compensate for that, especially on a cracked pitch. Didn't expect to get Warnock out, but after having had the 999ers 20/3, it's safe to say I'm very disappointed to be chasing 261.

End of Over 50: 261-9, runrate=5.22
Pead 10-0-54-3
Warnock* 129 (121 balls)
Laws 1 (2 balls)
Last Wicket: Fitzpatrick c. Platt b. Pead 8 (FOW: 259/9)

Now to see if "very defensive" orders are any match for Bardle. Hopes are not high.

Bowled them for 200 tad disappointed with that considering I had them at 29/4. Batting going well no loss yet, slightly above the RRR. Will expect them to up the pace soon.
