CW Battrick Cup

BARNES OUT
Yeah nah it doesn't bother me. I just reckon you should have a crack at an upset, but if you think it'll disadvantage you in your leagues then rest them, leagues > CW Cup, especially if you don't have that much of a chance.

Very good BT Cup this. Looking forward to catching some of the matches tomorrow. Hopefully'll get some respect.

Best bit about the CW Cup is testing your teams against some of the best going around. Believe me, nothing beats a cupset like the one I pulled on PY a few cups back, or the one Dwyer pulled on Hakon last year.
Still angry.

Though it wouldn't be an upset now if it happened, all CW teams are getting squashed up together.

People missed out on playing in the CW cup, and you're coming into it with that attitude. Not fair on them tbh.
I don't think this is fair - if you've got no chance of winning, I don't see the problem in treating it just as you would a league match. And let's face it, most of the group stage matches are mismatches - I've been playing for over a year now, and still don't stand a chance of adding to my win against Perm unless Jamee rests players. I'm going to try, because I've got the PFL to burn, but bugssy's top 6 players are low, moderate and (one) fresh. A second XI isn't going to be much worse than a first XI with those levels.

Shall I stage my pre match press conference now or just before kick-off

Oh well here goes

Hugh Clunnie and Jermaine Steyn switch places for this encounter with Clunnie reunited with his regular FC opener Blakeman, Badenhorst remains at three. The bowling line up sees Nick Jongikhaya and Bill Cherry make their CW Cup debuts in place of the out of sorts Billy Searle, and Seamus Henk.

Another long day at the office for our bowlers. Man we just can't take any wickets this season.

I probably should have elected to bat first. Waste of PFL again. My bowlers aren't getting murdered as badly as I expected though.

Nash* 73 (83 balls)

Lost a wicket in the first over but things have been looking good since. Need to pick up the run rate though, as has happened quite often in the past, anything under 350 and I'll lose.

End of Over 31: 153-1, runrate=4.94
Goodlad 9-0-53-0
Walsh* 61 (100 balls)
Elmes 84 (81 balls)
Last Wicket: Hetherington c. Delgado b. Schutte 0 (FOW: 1/1)

Edit: Walsh out.

What a great piece of work. He only lost his balance for a moment but it was enough for Beaumont to whip the bails off. That's out, stumped!
First stumping i have seen off a M bowler.

Weston and Goodlad did well to keep Elmes in check in the last ten overs. If we keep you under 300 will be the first time in a while for our bowlers. Not really sure what we can chase on a green pitch, especially with out inconsistent batting line up.

LOL @ Smart outlasting Hamlin. Yikes.

And LOL to a bowler called Hartburn.
I pulled a bowler named Hartburn, and he was either crap, or no ITS and could have been good, cant remember, hadnt seen the name before, then a couple of weeks later i saw them everywhere, and obviously ended up buying one.

Code:
End of Over 38: 141-10, runrate=3.71
Byles	5-0-8-1
Smart*	4 (19 balls)
I should chase that in like 20 overs, but who knows, will probably collapse and lose.
