All of the WC final innings - Lloyd, Richards, Ponting & Gilchrist - were in the 1st innings. So was Richards' great innings against England in 1984. Apart from that ....all these great inn. you guys have mentioned have a common dominator, its more than likely to be in the 2nd inn. and your team is 3 or 4 down for next to nothing, and the batsem is either 4-5 or 6. and chasing down a large sum. abnd a match of some importance.

No, it wasn't. It was a wholly average one, and not fit to rank remotely close to any of the chanceless innings mentioned so far.Taking into account the circumstances Steve Waugh's match winning century in the Super 6's match against South Africa in the 1999 World Cup was as good any other in it's way. Without it the Aussies were on their way out. (Yes I know Billy Bunter will point to the dropped chance and say half the innings doesn't count, but it WAS a great innings.)
And that statement couldn't be more grammatically poor if you tried. That statement couldn't be more wrong if you're fanny was screwed on backwards.
What's this? The great Ricardo resorting to picking up on spelling errors, how sad.And that statement couldn't be more grammatically poor if you tried.
Good to see you've got one thing right. The great Ricardo
Good to see you've got one thing right.
Nah, I tend to get about 50 things right a day TBH.
Go to a game one day, you might actually learn something. No, it wasn't. It was a wholly average one, and not fit to rank remotely close to any of the chanceless innings mentioned so far.
You already proved your lack of understanding with the previous comment, don't overdo it.Well going to games doesn't seem to have taught you the fact that hitting the ball in the air to a fielder on 50-odd means you're not often going to play the best ODI innings of all-time, so I'd not get your hopes up too far.
That's a shocking 1st postJust pick any one of Afridi's numerous explosive match winning innings.
Thanks man, sorry if I was specific enough. That's a shocking 1st post

Knocks which come to mind are the one against SL earlier this year and I recall a great one against India a couple of years ago.
I know there are many more, but there's a start.
