Why ? The guy just made 2 centuries IIRC against the quality of Bond , Martin and co..

Is that rubbish but Hussey's 2 centuries or Jacques 2 against Maharoof, Dilhara, Malinga and Murali much greater is it ? FFs...
Bond didn't play in the 2nd test and not sure if I would class Martin as "quality" but your kiwi praising should only be encouraged ;)

Bond only played half a test out of the two he scored centuries in, and in the test he did play, he picked up Amla cheaply in the first innings and had him dropped on 2 in the second. Amla only scored runs once Bond wasn't a factor. Martin is a decent test bowler but nothing more and the rest were dire to say the least.

And even if you ignore all that, the rest of his career has been pathetic. He averages 33.5 with the bat in test cricket and just 19.24 against teams that aren't New Zealand.

Amla has played a lot more cricket than just the last two games which is something you fail to recognise, and so has Hussey. Furthermore, a Maharoof/Malinga/Fernando/Murali attack is at least 10 times better than Martin/Gillespie/O'Brien/Vettori.

I was harsh on Vettori, I admit. He's certainly much worse than he used to be imo, and doesn't really seem to be able to take wickets in the white clothes anymore.
Yeah, it is disappointing he's not more attacking in tests. I think he tried that in this series a bit but Kallis and Amla were just too good. He seems to be more suited to the containing role ODIs and 20/20 require and lost the balls to take the risk of getting pasted by flighting the ball more in tests. I think/hope he'll come good though once he finds that equilibrium though

As long as it's not Brett Lee please :)
Jeez he bowled well in this series. If this new model Brett Lee can become a consistent presence in international cricket, the future for the Aussie attack is looking pretty rosy.

Yeah, true, I forgot that (resisting the urge to be rude about NZ vs international here ;) ). Still, that's almost 4 weeks.
Well NZ did win it last time around 3-0

(Hey you have to give NZ fans something to brag about :p)
