Is sachin tendulkar having the unluckiest year ever?

Its been a terrific year for Sachin he has scored lots of runs in both forms of the game its just that he has been getting out in the 90's in the Odi's and i wouldn't put that to being unlucky he has just been tentative while batting in the 90's.

I always hated how everything slows down just so a player can get a century. Didn't Sehwag get run out trying to work the strike for Tendulkar? There was so much time left & Tendulkar had belted his way to 97. Why pause?

i think the number of victories that he gave to india should be much sweeter for him than worrying about all those 90s

Exactly. That's why it annoys me so much when people say "When was the last time he scored a century?" or "When was the last time he took a 5'fer?". They aren't the only thing about cricket, and a batsman or bowler can be just as good without reaching these milestones constantly.

Saw the beginning of Tendy's innings yesterday and he was incredibly lucky so would be delighted with 97
Usually I am one of Tendulkar's biggest critic on this forum but that post is just so full of ****.

This is probably the best Sachin has batted since World Cup 2003.

Most batsmen would wish they were so unlucky :p.

But yeah, with Perm and most here. First off the only way I could think of to be really unlucky in cricket is to get a bad umpiring decision. There are couple other things that come to mind like that Symonds, Clarke run out or infact being run out by the mistake of a team mate, but just getting out in the 90s on its own isn't unlucky. Furthermore, 90s, 100s it doesn't really matter tbh. They're nice, but at the end of the day they're just numbers with some sentiment attached and the good Tendulkar did for his side with those 90s is so much greater and has so much more importance than any personal milestone.

Certainly sounds like the sort of genuinely-LOL-able put-down Stephen Waugh specialised in. Mark Waugh was never normally that witty.
