Steyn deserved that one, his been unlucky this morning and has been too good for Vincent - whose lucky his block wasn’t knocked off a few balls previous.

Decent start by the New Zealanders though.

Vincent establishes himself firmly in the squad as the fourth NZ player to pass 30 runs in an innings this series. Also the fourth of those four to not reach 50 to date. Whoops... :(

Has a team ever rejected another team's wish for a player which retired hurt to return to the batting crease?

And gutted, he was so close to 50. Now we're going to take even longer to see our first 50 this series. :(

Great stuff from Styris, his place must be in doubt if he doesnt do well in the second innings. Fulton will come back and maybe Ryder...

I doubt it but not sure I understand why you are asking that. Why would they do that?
Don't know why a team would bowl/roll an underarm ball either, but there ya go. :p I was just curious, I wasn't suggesting that South African might do it for Cumming.

If the batting team decide the retired player will bat again then the other team have no right to oppose that

Something else I'm curious about - who is coaching the batting with the NZ'ers? Bracewell? :p Because that would make sense, sadly.

Fleming seems to be in a hurry,,,.. either hes more fired up or he doesnt care as much now,, dont know which one.

Fleming takes the attack to Steyn. About time someone did. The guy has been made to look like a world-beater in this series. And Steyn has left the field now:

37.6 Steyn to Fleming, FOUR, well played! Fleming gets back and steers a short delivery outside off stump through the gap between slips and gully, perfect placement, if you will
37.5 Steyn to Fleming, SIX, thats out of here! Again its bounced in short on middle and leg but Fleming's into his hook in an instant, getting the bottom hand in and using the pace to send that rows back over deep fine leg for six!
37.4 Steyn to Fleming, FOUR, too full on leg stump and Fleming imperiously clips with the swing, well balanced, for four all the way through the gap at square leg

Jeevs or Mason deserve that place so much more it's not even funny.
I know mate...I know. And what was the point of rushing Mills over there if they weren't going to play him? O'Brien is the worst bowler I have seen play for NZ since Richard de Groen or Robert Kennedy I think

Is Andrew Penn worthy of consideration in that group? Or Warren Wisneski?
