Fernando gets an official warning for runing on the pitch.

Not having a good day is Fernando - seems to me like he is the Sri Lanken Steve Harmisson gets picked on a supposed potential or the odd good spell in blue moon when fact of the matter is that is the exception & the tripe he is bowling at the moment is the norm.

Played Jaques, again.

Can tell by the humourous celebration that he really wants to get on and make a big score though.

Jaques cements his spot once and for all, much to Roger's chagrin. Played.

Loving the barbs between Lawry, Greig, and Slater - seems they've been given license to spice it up.

Don't know why people were worrying about Maharoof letting the pressure off, it's not him going for 5-an-over.....

Nah, that was just Saggers with a typical bad-call. (Brackenhurst)

LOL @ Slater calling a headbutt a Liverpool kiss.

Malinga spiced it up a bit early on, and Murali is a great, but jeez Maharof and Fernando are dead set cod ordinary bowlers at this level.

You cannot seriously tell me that either of them is better than Vaas at this level.

You've got to get the balance of an attack right. Murali will bowl heaps of overs at one end, but if you've got a firebrand like Malinga, surely the left arm variation and solid experience of Vaas is better than these two plodders.

Murali aside, who do you see in this attack to stop Jaques getting 300 here?

Dire.

Geez Jaques is looking set for a big one here, playing very confidently. Will probably get out now that I said that, mind you.

Edit: Haha, wtf? Never seen that happen before.

Jaques looks twice the player today he did at brisbane...far less indecision in his movements and he's really taken advantage of all the day balls today. Still not that convinced by his technique though.

Aleem Dar leaves the ground, apparently ill.

Either his sides are hurting from laughing at Maharoof and Fernando, or he's got sick watching their dross being sent down at this level.

Jaques' technique reminds me a little of Doug Walters, principally in the backlift to backward point department.

Dougie really struggled in england with that technique as the ball moved around a lot, but Jaques has been tearing county attacks apart the past few years, hasn't he?

You can put that two reasons, fisrt bsssasstting wasn't tto eassy at Brisbane on day 1 and second he might have been lightly nervous coming into that test, but today he has just looked awesome!!!!

Can't see attacks consisting of Harmison, Anderson, Broad, Tremlett, Sidebottom troubling him (or anyone for that matter), come '09.
