I had to buy Noffke now or never, so went for him over Tait.

To get him I had to get rid of Henriques and pick a dud like Cleary. I plan to play Cam White each game at the moment as all rounder though, so no lose.

Wanted to get rid of Klinger or Maher really so I could get guns like Pomers or Bailey, ah well.

Stephen I still think i should be first, with my great margins of victory!

Seeing as Watto not named in this weeks Qld squad have taken him off my subs bench to let me upgrade a batsman. Am genuinely gutted. :(

Having selected the three highest scoring batsmen has helped. Anyway, results from the other league:

9 Nicholson
10 Bracken
11 Bollinger

Haha. I kept the faith. :D
I sort of did; in squad but not first XI. Cosgrove not playing for SA tho, so he might get subbed in with any luck as he's my 12th man. Katto my captain has come up with the goods again. Bloke's in ridiculously good form just mow. :)

w00tstick. Won my 3rd game running and am in the top 300 overall. Also had to face off against the two toughest opponents the last two rounds as well.

Revaluation round this round. I had 4/5 of the top 5 biggest earners in my team (yay for me!).

Got rid of that rubbish Victorian White, brought in Hogg. Got rid of underperforming Grifith and brought in Bracken.

Two toughest, lmao - looks like a grudge match is on the cards in round 8 when you face off against Bulls Hit since your suggesting that I'm not one of the two toughest teams,

when I'm the only other undefeated team, and have just scored the highest score for the round (55th overall for the round) and had to beat the 2nd highest scoring team for the round to win my third game, while your team showed some weaknesses.

I've went with my heart this week, picking George Bailey who better not get dropped, and bringing in the Hilf who will be just about hitting his straps now.
Out goes Brad Drew and Michael Klinger.

I stand corrected, you are the second best team in the comp at the moment, after my team

However, take these points into consideration -

Firstly, the third round is the least useful round for measuring contributions as two teams did not get to play a single ODD.

Secondly, I've had 150 points more scored against me than you overall and have still managed to win all 3 of my games.

Thirdly, first round I beat the highest scoring opposition and by round 3, two of the teams I've beaten are coming 3rd and 4th.

Poinstwise, I'd have been highest in the first and second rounds and have come 3rd this round. You'd have come 3rd, 2nd and 1st in each of the rounds.

I can't wait for round 8 :starwars:  :velho:

Not playing 50 over matches can help players get the average bonus easier. You have a squad of 15 players, you should be able to adjust, luckily for you, you managed to still win.

Also I have been improving each week, you seem to be slipping off the pace somewhat.

Good move though picking Bracken, couldn't have done better myself, oh wait.. LOL

Also how'd you work out that you got third highest score?

There are 4 teams you scored higher then you.

Is there a final in this comp?

I've put Bracken in too, I managed to ditch Gillespie and get him in with money to spend elsewhere. Can't believe Bracks is so cheap!

Yeah but players like Paine didn't get a game. Also, a couple of low to moderate scores can hurt, where having a third innings can let a batsman score more highly. Also White tends to do better in the ODDs as well.

Hmmm I must be blind, I could have sworn I had the 3rd highest overall this round. Nevertheless, I was still in the top 1150 overall

There are no finals. It's just whoever has the best W/L record "wins" the league. Theoretically you could win the whole competition and lose your league.

What hurt me more than anything that round though was that Maher actually scored runs. Every man and his dog has Maher picked and he's been poor for 2 seasons. Looking for a better return from some of my bowlers this round too.

Yeah I picked Bracken, more from a "he's set to go up in value quickly" position rather than a "he's the best bowler in the league that I can afford" postion. I'm trying to build value fast. Players like Hogg are a liability IMO because they can only really go down. Noffke is another who I may drop soon cause his value is too high for his actual skill level (really hard to drop him on current form though).
