Hey Richard, you don't by any chance support Chlesea FC do you ?
Nope, never really liked them and in the post-Abramovich World I, like virtually every non-Chelsea-fan Brit, hate them with a passion and want to see them lose absolutely everything.

I've also been a Man U fan since I was 6, BTW.

Haha, Richard's post was so over the top that you wouldn't blame people for thinking that the disclaimer was sarcasm.

EDIT: the one about Tendulkar.

The first 8-) was part of the original (very sarcastic, I originally inteded to post sans-disclaimer, I thought it was that obvious) comment.

The second 8-) was even contained within the disclaimer. It was less of an augmentative than a substitute.

Was just watching clips of him bowl on youtube. Does anyone have any idea in relation to physics and biomechanics just how he got the ball to come in about 2 yards from the batsman to the left hander and right hander.

On the subject, me and my bro were having an arguement...did the Croft delivery swing in and then swing out (from seeing it, not from a physical impossibility perspective) or did it angle in and swing out.

I feel that Wasim was a victim of a lack of coaching. He has no follow through nor does he complete his action. Furthermore, his bouncer does not have any sort of drive behind it which is why it is on the way down when it reaches the clearly rushed batsman. It just further underlines the magnitude of talent which he had in order to get the ball down there at such a pace. Although, that being said, I have never seen him clocked consistantly above 85mph but he may well have done in his earlier years.

On the topic of his average being too high for a 'world great' bowler, it must be examined that he was often poor with the new ball and yet he seemed to open the bowling a large majority of the time. With the old ball, his skill was mind boggling. In terms of the strike rate being quite high, it must be noted that he bowled short with the uncontrolled new ball which cost him a vital wicket taking time of the innings.

Haha, oh dear. Agree with Manraj (^^^^) but just so much wrong with my posting in this thread. :shy:

Shame to see another of BhupinderSingh's accounts, too. And to be reminded how much we miss Yawer at the moment. :(

He is easily the best left arm bowler i have ever seen and what made him special was his skill there is so art in the way he bowled, he had lots of variety and that's why he was so good in virtually every condition, he should be a role model for every budding left arm fast bowler.

Hahaha i feel exactly the same about Chelsea i just hate them and want to see him lose everything so Abramovich realises that money can't build a good soccer team.
I also happen to be a Red devils fan from a young age so what do you think Richard would we win the champions league this time around.

I confess I'm no longer the student of European football I once was, so any prediction I may make would be far more likely to be inaccurate than accurate TBH.

He was a good new ball bowler but at his best with old ball in one hand and bottle top in the other.
If you're going to make comments like that, at least back them up with facts. Posting like this only results in the starting of flame wars which everyone can do without.
