Yes, but it wasn't Tendulkar's fault. And that would be right as India did not win the match.
Yes, but it wasn't Tendulkar's fault. And that would be right as India did not win the match.
Sure, because Tendulkar knew when he was making those 99 runs in the first innings that his team would go on to lose the match. And that would be right as India did not win the match.
Great innings by Younis. I honestly didn't think Sachin's innings could be upstaged in this game but an outstanding effort from Younis and well backed up by guys like Salman Butt, Afridi and Misbah and to an extent, the skipper himself. Very good batting effort, well planned chase... They took advantage of the predictability of the Indian bowling attack very well, I thought. Just look at the way they were able to manipulate the left armer's line to their advantage...
Sachin was something else though. The way he was clinically going after the bowling, if he hadn't played that nervous poke on 99, I think Pakistan bowlers would have been on a serious leather hunt. He was just too good, I think. But the Pak bowlers, esp. Gul and Akhtar and to an extent Tanvir and Afridi, came back very well.
I hope Richard watched this game... 2-56 off 10 looks bad on the scorecard but it was an outstanding effort for those who had actually watched the game. THAT is the difference between reading the scorecard and actually watching the match and I hope some of the stats buffs here understand this.....
Shoaib bowled well as well, esp. in that second spell of his and to finish off with a maiden when the slog was on was completely amazing. I know it was Zak and Bhajji but look what they were able to do to the other bowlers....
India should seriously reconsider playing 3 left armers. It is just getting way too predictable on how they are going to bowl and it seems to me it offsets whatever the 3rd left armer brings to the table compared to a Sreesanth or even an AA. Maybe for the next game, bring in Sree for a batsman...
And why was Sehwag never even considered? He is easily the best part time bowler we have in terms of being consistent on a given line and length. Dhoni looks like one of those guys who likes to follow a pattern about his bowling line up, to me. I hope he can get in a bit of flexibility there....

Imagine if Tendulkar had got to his 100.Another 2 years later, some "expert" would use this match as another example of Tendulkar not scoring runs in a winning cause etc..
Yes, but it wasn't Tendulkar's fault.
What I meant was is that person would be correct in saying his 100( had he got it) was not scored in a winning cause as India lost. This is just obvious. Whether his contribution was enough or not to give India chance is not what I was talking about.Sure, because Tendulkar knew when he was making those 99 runs in the first innings that his team would go on to lose the match.

hope he can play the whole series this time.. it is fun watching him bowle.
Those three were the best deliveries in the match. And they all came from the bowling of Shoaib!Shoaib is so awesome. Love watching him bowl.
He's also such a wanker lol. What was the 'ear' thing he did at Sachin?
I would love his bowling too - if his action didn't make me cringe every time I see it.shoaib akhtar>>> gun

No Sir,Shoaib Akhtar is not a chucker.I would love his bowling too - if his action didn't make me cringe every time I see it.
u mean his bowling action? or on field or off field actions?.. lol clearly i don't see anything wrong with his bowling action..I would love his bowling too - if his action didn't make me cringe every time I see it.

In my opinion, he needs to be tested again. It seems quite egregious and he doesn't have the deformity that could be the cause for any illusion. I would be astonished if his results come back as within the rules. I wouldn't call no-ball during the game, but if I was an umpire, I'd certainly report him for further testing.u mean his bowling action? or on field or off field actions?.. lol clearly i don't see anything wrong with his bowling action..
I think he is. That's why I want him tested. I could be wrong of course - but he ought to be tested again. His action is no different to in 1999, 2003 etc.
If you have a problem with his action, that's fine its your opinion. But that will also mean you have a problem with the rules/limitations in place, because I don't think he's extending his elbow/arm any more than he was in previous years.
He has been tested many times and cleared by the ICC. You can't just keep reporting a player, especially when time after time it has been proved he doesn't chuck. The umpires out there are a lot more educated on this issue, so if they ever feel during the series he's action is illegal, they will report him.I think he is. That's why I want him tested. I could be wrong of course - but he ought to be tested again.
I would say as long as they can play good cricket nothing else matters!!!Dont they teach some language skills to pakistani players ? It is so painful to hear them speak.Just hear out Younis Khan speak at the post match conf.
