Given that he took 34 balls to get off the mark yesterday perhaps Jaques Kallis is a better nickname.Cricinfo says that his nick name is Pro.

Thanks mate for taking all the pains to find out Jaques' nickname, but "Pro" nah i don't like that too much so i would stick with calling him Jaques!Cricinfo says that his nick name is Pro.

Or maybe not.Given that he took 34 balls to get off the mark yesterday perhaps Jaques Kallis is a better nickname.
Hardly ugly, but definitely a stubborn, hard fought innings. Not his most attractive one, but he did what he had to do. Left a lot of balls, saw off the new ball excellently. He's starting to open up a bit more now though.Hussey! Had to listen to the whole mornings play on the road and got home about 30 seconds after the the ton
Great stuff though, sounded ugly at times, but he got the runs on the board as he has a knack for doing and hopefully this will kickstart his return to cricket.
No Malinga + feild first looking more dire with every run scored, granted there was some logic in the latter.
Was definitely ugly at times, at least yesterday. Dropped on 13 and was uncomfortable against Murali yesterday but that's what makes the innings really good that he stayed there and got better and better as the innings wore on. Much like Jaques. Anyways, one mans 'ugly' is another mans 'hard fought'.Hardly ugly, but definitely a stubborn, hard fought innings. Not his most attractive one, but he did what he had to do. And yeah, there was some logic in bowling first, but it's little consolation when you're bowling to two set batsmen at 3/419 on a pitch that's flattening out...
Bat 20-23 overs after lunch, play at 6 an over and reach 600, declare. I can see them going for 650 and probably declaring tomorrow though. So, thoughts on the declaration? Does Punter bat on for time and, say, declare with an hour to go in the day or does he let the score reach 500 before declaring?
