Shane Bond is so good to watch. A spot on bouncer hitting Gibbs straight on the helmet. Next ball, yorker. Brilliant bowling so far from him.

Good start for NZ, bowling too wide though and not really keeping the pressure on. We should be aiming for off-stump with Gibbs, who seems to get bowled quite a bit.

Poor Martin...he bowled really beautifully and deserved Kallis' wicket. M'thinks we'll regret those misses by the end of the day.

Oh and O'Brien is village. Franklin's absence already starting to tell.

Kallis dropped twice, to drop him once is a sin, but twice! NZ will be very fortunate if he doesn't make them seriously pay for those indiscretions. Papps should have held onto his chance at third slip, he'd done the hard bit by diving and getting both hands to the ball. O'Brien make a complete mess of his opportunity, the ball was in the air long enough for him to get a decent solid position, and he ended up falling back, consequently the ball bouncing out of his grasp!

O'Brien looked like he was about to throw up after he dropped that, yet as he is sporting a mo, all is forgiven.

A promising start TBH, hopefully Kallis won't punish us, but we were the underdogs going into this so all's well so far.

Pommie is so gun.

Bond is such a gun, gets Prince and SA are in a heap of trouble. Almost want NZ to win this as much as i want Australia to beat Sri Lanka.
