I don't think the 3 commentators thing helps doesn't really give anyone chance to develop any points. Saying that it's about time Channel 9 started to cut the fat I'm looking at you Healy, Grieg & Lawrey.

I missed the 1st session was the pitch really seamer friendly? As it looks a belter now. Couldn't believe when the commentators said Jayawardena chose to field 1st especially with the Gabba record and Murali in the side & having the chance of him bowling in the 4th innings where he excels.

Fernando's a dire batsman, Maharoof was the batting selection, Fernando Malinga Vaas Murali was the suspected attack, Maharoof was a pleasant surprise, though Fernando is losing his place very quickly.

I'm not saying it was a good or fair decision to drop Malinga, because it wasn't.

Despite not having followed the build up for this series particularly closely, I'd imagine Maharoof was the surprised selection, rather than Fernando.
