Lara and Inzamam drop into ranks

Two recently retired batting titans, Brian Lara and Inzamam-ul-Haq have signed contracts to add significant strength to the Masters XI for the upcoming Dev League season. Lara, the double world-record holder, and Inzamam, one of Pakistan's finest batsmen, both served as captain of their respective countries. However, neither has signed on with aspirations of captaincy.

The two have scored over 42,000 internationals runs combined and will prove a stern test for bowlers throughout CWLand. The CWBCC is due to secure three more players for the AllStar VI component of the Masters squad. No statement has been yet been released revealing the wages of the respective players.

Masters XI: L Klusener (SA), BC Lara (WI), Inzamam-ul-Haq (PAK)

Not Terrible
Next will be big name bowlers, surely McGrath or Warne wouldn't sign up for any less than $500'000

Here's what I think a prospective Masters XI could look like:

Justin Langer
Marvan Atapattu (?)
Brian Lara
Inzamam ul-Haq
Andy Flower (wk)
Graeme Hick
Lance Klusener
Heath Streak
Shane Warne
Darren Gough
Glenn McGrath

Brilliance, we give them points for their games, then when they clean sweep everything, we fine them hundreds of points for breaching the salary cap!

Salary cap point is a good'un. Surely it should apply to the new team too. Klusener, Lara and Inzamam. What would that be? Two As and a B? That's 14 points already...

With 60 points to spend, 15 players will average 4 points a player. I'm predicting riots when they inevitably breach.

EDIT* Just fortunate none of them are current internationals, otherwise there'd be plenty of 5 point penalties for breaching the international team contracted players.

Would hardly be fair to grade them in the same way as Dev League players are graded.
Yeah, wasn't ever serious about the idea, most international players would fail our school system, they'd mostly get F's. Smart bunch here in CW Land.

Nah, they'd all be E's based on games played last season.
