Nah, two bowlers is still better than one and a half I reckon.

Actually, even among the pacers, you missed the one most succesful on either side across their two T20I matches - that would be Irfan Pathan. (2 for 20 and 3 for 16).

Then hard to imagine that Kumble,Harbhajan, Kartik not competitive with Afridi,Kaneria,Rehman.

Most of all, this bowling bunch has mostly done OK under pressure (including with the willow), underrated group in the Indian team given the buzz around the big3, Yuvi, etc

Cricinfo saying Younis Khan has just grabbed two quick wickets with mediums...

Good all round performence by the Pakistan team. Strange decision by Malik to use Younis Khan as a medium pace option but it worked. And if the openers who played various positions today can stick to this form then they'll have overcome one of their biggest given weaknesses in the series.

Its interesting you should say that. The young Indian fans seem to have written off Pathan completely. I had a nephew visiting recently who insisted that Pathan should never be dropped from the Indian side because he wasn't bowlingfast enough to be in an international squad :-O

Completely agree..Sure Dravid may have had a poor series with the bat, but lets take into account that this was against the top team in the world. The buzz of twenty twenty cricket has taken away from the fact that India needs a solid and technical innings builder in the middle order..Who else do we have to fill this role?

I don't know why people are even thinking of giving Dravid some time off. The only way he'll overcome this loss of form, is by being out there in the middle and scoring some runs. And it's utter madness to leave Dravid out of the team just because he hasn't scored run in the past few matches. Remember the 90 something off 70 balls he played in England a few matches ago?

And yes I think Sehwag needs to be back in place of Karthik, especially since we all know how much Sehwag loves to play against Pakistan  .

Should sehwag have been selected within the one day team?? He certainly hasn't shown any of his usual flair or form of late and a solid start for India is integral to a solid score.. India hasn't proved that they can recover from a 4 or 5 wicket down position..I say Gambir and tendulkar to open

I hope he does play, so that he can hit back strong and score a century for his father, much like Tendulkar.
Hey thats right....I still remember that match!!!.........But somebody have to drop some catches...:)
here it goes in most of the matches!!!
1 catch dropped - Viru scores 50
2 " " - Viru scores 100
3 " " - Viru score 150
4----------still to come-------------------- lets wait.....

I love Pakistans bowling, But their batting is the real worry. If they find a good opening pair(for me Afridi and Butt) ,their midle order is good(Younis,Yousuf,Malik) and in the low order there r probably Misbah(remember T20?) and Akmal ,then I hope they'll do well and leave everything to the bowlers!!! If they bat well they have a chance of being succesful because their bowling is consistently been decent.
Well my favourite team will be Pakistan because of Shoaib Malik.

Sehwag should play, he has a knack of doing well against Pakistan. And when he gets going he is truly magnificient. Also, why is Irfan Pathan being droppend after such a fine start playing for india back last year?

:-O :-O The declaration of a state of emergency in Pakistan has cast a shadow over the national team's tour of India, but is not expected to result in the tour being called off.

Hope this is true

I hope it goes through anyway. Though it should be noted that any losses from the Pakistani team from here on will be due to the stress from what is going in Pakistan and not because they are shoddy cricketers.

The pre-drop Pathan, even on his good days, seemed to rely heavily on the swing from a new ball. The post-drop Pathan, seems to be far less prone to good days/bad days so far (hope this post doesnt jinx him) and even when bowling first or second change - still able to take wickets and keep the runs down.

Whether you thought or not that he should've been dropped - its done him good. And whether you think or not that he is now fast/accurate/good/worthy. his results speak for themselves across a tough ODI series and the T20I competition. Not a star but holds his end as a part of his pack and his batting is worthy of being at #7 in case you wanted 5 bowlers and terrific at #8.

i could careless if musharf gets shot in the head, or benazir get shot in the head.. what i am concern about is the civilian people there in pakistan.. i hope they are ok and they get through this safely.. i personally don't like any politicians and i don't trust them.. i would be happy if all these politicians were put in the car and explode the car with a bomb... this includes the likes of Bush, osama, masharaf, karzi, nawaz sharif, benazir and soo on..
