I'll leave it at Vivian Richards should be nowhere near an all-time World XI. All time West Indian one, yes, all-time World absolutely no way.

I do get bored of these threads TBH. This one probably more than any other.

EDIT: I won't say it, because I have actually read the post in question fully... :wallbash:

3. Don Bradman
4. Viv Richards
5. Sachin Tendulkar
6. Garry Sobers
7. Alan Knott

EDIT: though I will say... Kieran, how can you leave Sobers out of an all-time World XI? :-O
Agree with your first comment.

Oh, just read Phlegm's last sentence and you'll see why.

I read the other XI and spotted Sobers; I then read Kieran's XI and spotted no Sobers. I didn't go up to the top of the order.

By not balanced I meant I'm just choosing who I consider to be the best in each position rather than choosing Gilchrist instead of Knott because of his superior batting or worrying whether or not Sobers was a good enough third seamer in a five man attack and other such considerations.

I was talking about Barry Richards

On ability alone I would have put Barry Richards in as well, unfortunately he never got the chance to prove it at Test level beyond one prolific series against Australia.

I want to be there when the captain explains to Bradman that he is being demoted and Lara will be taking his customary #3 spot. :p

Captain: Donald, considering your score in the last innings, we've decided to have you to come down at #4 and Brian here will be taking your spot.
Bradman: LOL
Lara (the other side of the room): WTF?

Hey Lara is the iffy personality here. Number 4 is the place for the best batsman, imo.
