Who is your favourite cricketer?

Yes. Your favourites don't all have to be the best players but players you like watching.
Oh, no, of course not. Just surprised me that Graeme Cremer would find his way into anyone's favourites, as he's always seemed fairly anonymous to me TBH.

Is it a mandatory my friend? I just found that picture good that's the main reason....
It is indeed a fine photo, but it just seems unusual to have someone in an avatar (unless it's a lost challenge) who's not one of your favourite players.

A lot of my favs have vacated the game now, unfortunately. Since I've been following the sport I'd say Waqar Younis & BC Lara have probably given me the most joy from non-English players. Other players may've had more consistency, but when those two were in the zone they were the finest in their respective fields. I hate to use words like "superhuman", because they were obviously not, but watching them at the top of their games always gave me feelings of awe. My body is designed along similar lines to theirs, but their command of its constituent parts is just so superior it was a genuinely humbling experience to watch them in all their glory.

My all-time favourite non-Pom tho is Sir Stephen Waugh. A notch below Lara in terms of ability (IMHO obviously) but just a great bloke to have on your side and one who retained a healthy sense of perspective about sport's place in the world. His (largely unpublicised) work with underprivileged kids in India & taking the touring 2001 Ashes side to the war graves at Gallipoli are just typical of the bloke. I think it's a bit of a pity Australia doesn't accept British honours anymore (can obviously see the logic behind it tho) because I can think of few men who'd befit a knighthood more.

Quite simple and i am pretty sure most of the forum knows it too that its none other than Ganguly, one of the finest off side players in the game.

Non indian cricketer that i absolutely love watching has to be Shane Warne, Ricky Ponting and Mo Yo.

Never knew Michael Dighton was an opener.
And as we're finding out on this page and indeed throughout the forum recently, there's a lot of things you don't know.

But yeah, I rate his technique as an opener.

A guy is hit hard in the head and falls down he does not stir at first, thats the situatuion. Run or no run?
No run. Would kick myself if he gets up two seconds later though.

Anyway, I think we've gotten as far as we're likely to get in this particular discussion. Probably better to agree to disagree and whatnot.
