Exactly my feelings on the matter. You know Australians would have ran.
Disagree, I think Australia would be one of the few countries that wouldn't run.
Someone gets hit in the head with the ball, goes straight down, would you run? You can see in the clip, one player asks for the run, the other turns him down because he's generally worried.

A freak accident and a potentially disastrous one at that, showed real sportsmanship did Pakistan.

Agreed, it's a basic principal of sport that you stop when a player is injured and full credit to Pakistan there.

T'was a comment intended to get a reaction. Since it looked pretty serious the Pakistani batsman were right in stopping, IMO.

Knew that mate, but I don't think shortpitched was going along the same lines as you which is why I followed it up. Oh I remember the game situation when that happened all to well.

How serious did the accident end up being? If it wasn't all that serious, then as a Pakistani batsman I might argue after the fact for some penalty runs to be added for pointless play stoppage.

I mean it might not make all that much of a difference at all, but the effect that it would have on the opposition would be immense, imo.

I know it didn't end up being that serious but it looked serious and it was obvious by the Kiwi reaction to the moment, Vettori ran straight to him.
