Heal and Ronchi dropped. So freaking annoying. How is Heal meant to press his claims for Australia when he's being so unfairly mistreated? Guess I shouldn't worry too much, Cricket Australia will intervene soon and get him in the squad as soon as you can say 'Gabba debut'.

Couple of Fantasy cricket related Q's for any SA or WA fans in the know:

-How likely is Deitz to play for SA for the upcoming game?

-How bad is Edmondson's hamstring?

Watson also likey to play 3 day game against Sri Lanka. Will be interesting to see where he bats in the batting order, given Maher has moved to four to give Watson a shot at opening.

I'd say if Love isn't fit Watson will bat at 3, but if Love plays we could see Watson opening.

Once again Watson doesn't know the meaning of easying himself back into cricket. I reckon he could do with a month of playing grade cricket and One Day Cricket before getting back playing FC cricket. Also good luck last a game playing as opening batsmen and change bowler in FC. Ever wondered why Kallis dropped himself to 4 and Sobers played a lot of his career at No 6.

Well, to be fair, when Sobers was playing the West Indies weren't short on quality openers. Same with Kallis. I don't think Watson will be able to manage it though, and it won't be good for his cricket. He can play at #6 for Australia but I doubt he'll be able to open the batting in Test cricket.

Have you seen Queensland bowling attack minus Bichel, Kaspra and Johnson. Apart from Noffke there isn't that much quality. Him and Hopes would probably be the best bowlers outside Noffke.

Don't see qld putting up much of a fight against NSW today.Wonder if michael clarke will play.

The drizzle today hasn't helped NSW and bowling has been tough for the spinners with the soapy wet ball, but the Bulls are also making most of the conditions Nye and Broad batting very well atm.
Btw this guy Ryan Broad looks like good batsman.

Why do you say that?

His scored hundreds for NSW 2nds. His one of the best batsmen in grade cricket. His shown leadership quaities his whole career, basically captained at ever level except FC. Captaincy shouldn't make much difference, but he is a potential future NSW captain so its good he gets some games early on.

No doubt their are better batsmen around and some at similar ages. But in terms of spin bowling all rounder. They made it pretty clear last season they want to play two spinners at the SCG. Its really just a toss up between Katich, O'Brien, Casson and O'Keefe. Katich hardly bowls anymore after a couple shoulder problems. O'Brien been pretty inconsistent at Grade level, never really found any form since he was dropped. Casson a soild batsmen, but you really need a guy capable of playing as specialist with Smith in the side. Also never been a fan of bowling all rounders at 7.

Lastly anyone greater then Lambert.

Broad looked very good in attack against the spinners, used his feet well. However, in defense against the spinners looked a little lost, and if Smith wasn't a tool he would have been stumped.

Hauritz bowled exceptionally well and if it wasn't for Bollinger's poor effort in the field he would have had a wicket.

Disapointing the game was washed out.

Should be a great Pura Cup game - Hayden, Hopes (maybe), Symonds, Johnson, Clarke, Lee, Clark, MacGill and Bracken. Would call in sick on Friday if the game were in Brisbane.

Hopes has been ruled out. Replacement yet to be named.
