The Wheel is Forever
Clark showing the INdian pacers how to bowl properly. Thankfully, the other end is still leaking runs and India can just see him off.

I think India have the chance to be good at this format long term because of the importance that quality spin can play in the outcome. Our pace bowling has been and likely will be a weakness in the other formats, and you don't win Test matches without good quality fast bowling, but here you can afford the mediocre fast bowlers. This young team runs fast between the wickets and though not great, is at least passable in the field. And obviously, most of these batsman can't leave a ball to save their lives, which sucks for real cricket but can help them in this format.I can't see why India aren't the best Twenty20 side in the world tbh. What more do they have to do to show this? At most you could say that we can't say anyone is the best in the games infancy but you certainly can't say any other side is better than India with such a good record in the game. And you certainly can't say any side is better than them just because they're better on paper because that doesn't hold much weight tbh (pun? yes imo).
They have a formula going about them. A combination of aggressive players like Yuvraj, Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, a player like Gambhir who tries to ensure the team doesn't lose that many wickets (which is important in Twenty20), an Uthappa who can rotate the strike and play attacking as the situation demands. A good team combo. They bat deep as a player like Pathan can play at least 2-3 overs. Then, most of the young bowlers are pretty good. People talk about individual players in Twenty20 but you don't get consistent success over matches with some thing like that. A team is all about the formula going in Twenty20 - a reason why Gloucestershire has been so strong in England despite not having star players for instance.I can't see why India aren't the best Twenty20 side in the world tbh. AWTA. On top Dhoni & Rohit Sharma seem to try hard to adapt to situation as well (keep wickets intact when needed and then go for the big hits otherwise). They have a formula going about them.
