T.M Dilshan dropped, Samaraweera and Jayasuriya recalled to 16 man team new face is chanaka Waldegedra a left arm seamer who is been in top form.

I am dissapointed by the inclusion of Jayasuriya i think we should trust youngsters more, Bandara also in squad

No real major surprises i guess, apart from maybe Maharoof and Welagedera getting choosen ahead of De Silva. But Welagedera been in pretty good form in the off season for Sri Lanka A. Bayliss does seem to be a fan of mediocre all rounders like Maharoof and Grant Lambert as well. With Atapattu turning down a recall, Samaraweera's recall was expected.

My side for 1st Test: Vandort, Tharanga, Jayasuriya, Sangakkara (wk), M Jayawardene (c), Silva, Samaraweera, Vaas, Malinga, Muralitharan, Dilhara

Talk is Vandort and Tharanga will open and Jayasuriya will bat in the middle order. I hope he bats at 3, so Sangakkara can play a keeper. Also would mean Samaraweera gives our middle order some extra experience.

Would like to see Michael Vandort doing well on this tour, score a few runs against a side that isn't Bangladesh. Good series from Sangakarra and Jayawardene could see them move up a few notches in people's estimations.

Hayden, Sanga, Ponting and Clarke, i think one of them would be the highest run-getter in this series, i would have named Hussey too but i don't think he would be at his gunning best while coming back from an injury.

Yeah i forgot to mention Mahela's name i think he should also have a pretty good series.

Personally would like Australia to pick 4 quicks especially if Tait can be fit in a team of:

Hayden
Jaques
Ponting
Hodge
Hussey
Clarke
Gilchrist
Lee
Johnson
Clark
Tait

Would love to see Hodge in the Test team even though hes had a bad One day series so far he is a quality player who deserves a run in the squad.
