One of the more 'rare' ones, The Y's. Its easy since there isn't too much choice. Thank God there is a keeper and in Norman Yrdley and Brian Young some one to bowl with the new ball :)

Unlikely to beat anyone except the X's or the Q's

Eleven players exactly (six of them Pakistanis) with names starting from Z have played in tests so they select themselves but believe me they have three who have opened batting more than a couple for opening the bowling and two wicket keepers !! I am playing Tim Zoerer as a batsman since the other keeper Zulquarnain would be an embarassment as a batsman :@

  1. Zulch, John
  2. Zahoor Elahi
  3. Zaheer Abbas
  4. Zahid Fazal
  5. Zulfiqar Ahmed
  6. Zondeki
  7. Zoehrer, Tim
  8. Zulquarnain
  9. Zaheer Khan
  10. Zakir Khan
  11. Zoysa

Can anyone suggest a decent spinner starting with H? Not Harbajhan Singh as he'd be an S in my system.

There is also Herbert Hordern of Australia (early 20th century. Right arm leg spinner.
46 wickets in just 7 test matches !!

avg 23.37 and strike rate 46.7 - fabulous for a spinner.

Five five fors and 2 10 fors in just 7 tests.

Amazing figures in a short career.

Jim Parks might make a better keeper (and batsman) than Parore.

Was Angus Fraser close to making your side?
Ken Farnes makes it by being the fastest of the lot and figures very similar (marginally better ) to Fraser

Fazal was a fabulous medium pacer compared by many to Bedser. Ferris is a legend with 61 wkts in 9 tests !! and Flintoff is an all rounder.

Procter below Peter (and arguably Shaun) is a bit harsh. Long batting line up all the same.
