Fell asleep in the middle tbh. Don't know what was worse, the dancers or Tony Cozier. I was pretty excited for it as well, but it was all just abit meh in the end.
Yeah, it's going to be a bit like that for me during the whole tournament. Really going to struggle I reckon.

You all should have been there. Great atmosphere. Huge hits. Saffies cheered Gayle on as much as Gibbs. All very exciting. I don't think the TV can really do justice to 20/20 games. Windies through it away, though. I could boo very loudly and legitimately.:D And I did!:D :D It's going to go down hill from here for us if Gibbs and Smith are injured. I only found out about that when I go home.
20/20 I love it!:D

Im very jealous. :) I was so upset that the 2020 WC was scheduled for the month after I left SA.

Would have loved to have watched that game and the others.

Whatever it takes!!!
Sarwan keeps showing his ineptitude as a captain. Why he did not bowl Gayle, I cannot fathom, esp. since in the mid innings show, he said he has to bowl a few overs too, for his side. He appears to let the game drift too much and the players hardly seem to respond to him. If the Windies selectors SERIOUSLY believe that he is a better captain than Gayle, they deserve more such losses.

And for how much longer will they have to put up with that terrible attitude of Marlon Samuels.... Doesn't seem to be a team player and looks like he doesn't give a damn about fielding or losing games. Amazing talent, esp. for the limited overs games, but how can you handle such a guy in your team?

If West Indies keep on fielding and bowling like they did yesterday then even Bangladesh might have good chance of beating them.

The format might change but some things don't. WI waste a briliant innings by a left handed batsman (Gayle this tine rather than Lara or Shiv) with crap bowling and fielding - and obviously Sarwan has never seen English T 20 (where spinners are vital) otherwise he would have tried Gayle. The worst thing that could have happened would be that he would have gone round the park - which the other bowlers were anyway. Very lucky for them that BD have gone backwards since the WC...

It looked amazing. Wish I could be in Durban, especially for Pak/India but I couldn't get the time unfortunately.

Seems like Steve Elworthy and his men have put a lot of sensible thought into planning this tournament. Good to see that even for Kenya New Zealand the kids were in and unlike the World Cup an atmosphere could be generated.

Ease up on Sarwan and WI. They had two pretty good warm up games and it was just a horrible day on the field. It happens sometimes and you can't blame Sarwan for the dropped catches. You can blame him for giving Smith the ball though, that was unacceptable. Its always easier to chase in this format.

I'm pretty sure they'll be back against BD. Hopefully they'll get to chase this time.

Not Terrible
Couldn't pick this one right now, I'd be happy with a victory for either team, Bangladesh seem to have adapted well in the short time they've had looking at the warm ups.

I would say WI are still my favourites but the likes of Nazimuddin have really made this Bangladesh batting lineup look a lot more destructive.

Poor little Mohammad Ashrafel being interviewed by Danny Morrison. Ashrafel's English isn't that great but Danny was so stupid in using colloquisms and turns of phrase to a non-native English speaker.

Absolutely hate it when that happens, grimace knowing how hard some people make it for others to understand them.
