What would you do with Robin Uthappa? You have one of the best specialist openers (and a Test contender) batting at number seven!
Wtf is Uttapah doing at no.7 this is seriously dumb stuff from India.
Hindsight, ftw.India's performance And Rahul's captaincy in this game has been comical. If Guys like Uthapa, Gambhir are the future of Indian batting then I must say the future isn't very bright.
Yeah well honestly too bad you didn't. I am sorry man but I am tired of hearing people say if we had this we had that we would've won. It's not India's fault Flintoff's such a weak frail player at the moment. Maybe if he kept a check on his fitness, he would've been good enough to play. But guess what he isn't, he isn't good enough to play and therefore England wasn't good enough to win today. You put your best team out on the field, and they lost. Stop the ifs ands or buts. Heck anyone can say, if their former greats were young and at their peak today this and that could've happened. But reality is, it didn't and won't because you don't have the players for "this and that" to happen.Yeah it was, if we'd have had Flintoff, then we'd have won, no doubt in my mind.
Flintoff, IMO, is done. At least as a long term consistent player for England. Just as much as Simon Jones is. And probably Harmison.Yeah it was, if we'd have had Flintoff, then we'd have won, no doubt in my mind.
I agree with Flintoff / Jones. But Harmison will be around for a while yet. Given how well Tremlett / Broad have performed maybe you are right. But i just cant see it happening given how England like to stay loyal to certain players.Flintoff, IMO, is done. At least as a long term consistent player for England. Just as much as Simon Jones is. And probably Harmison.
Though Hoggard will still probably be around and will do well for a while.
Yeah, if we would have had kapil dev then we would have won the fourth ODI, where he would have been able to break the 8th wicket partnership.Yeah it was, if we'd have had Flintoff, then we'd have won, no doubt in my mind.
**** me dead, that was atrocious. God i don't even want to watch the rest of the game.
Four bowlers for India would not be a bad option if they four they picked were reliable in the roles they were given. When one of them is Agarkar and two of them are spinners (and hence have limited situations in which they can bowl), four bowlers simply isn't enough. It's not like Gambhir and Uthappa offer so much with the bat that they demand selection ahead of a fifth bowler, either.
Skull. Skull. Skull.Yea agreed.
Time to end Shah's ODI career, not good enough.
I'm not sure why RP's not bowling ahead of AA, the only two reasons I can think are 1) he's got some kind of injury or 2) Dravid feels the right arm pace of Agarkar complements Zaheer better - he'd have a point if AA was bolwing well but he's been rubbish.Exactly.
Another 5th crappy bowler (theoretically, if they're not in the team ahead of AA, they're worse (not true I know)) would have been pounded too.
I hate Munaf Patel. If he actually gave a crap, and got himself fit India would have a decent ODI bowling line-up.
Play RP or Sree ahead of AA FFS.
Nah you would have batted first, and he would have skied one down to long-on off Powar's bowling instead or Wright's quickfire 50 which turned the matchYeah it was, if we'd have had Flintoff, then we'd have won, no doubt in my mind.
That's a good point. Anyone know how its generally been? Can't wait, saturday seems a year away and I hope the weather holds up too.
According to the bbc - predominantly sunny intervals with a north westerly wind of 2 mph. That's a good point. Anyone know how its generally been?
